Biden 2021 - A Mediocre Middle Ground

@H_factor If @pat has such bad ideas, why don’t you explain why they’re bad in clear terms?

Character attacks are a sign of weak ideas, fragile egos and shallow thought.

Meanwhile, I think it is time we drop the pretense that Joe Biden is actually The President of The United States of America. This is a very troubling situation where we have a demented old man being exploited by unknown people while we’re supposed to believe that Joe Biden is the Commander-In-Chief.

Thanks again Sky News AUS, for broadcasting unedited Joe Biden footage.

You just described pat.

Trump was the first President of my adult life for whom even a possibility that he was actually in charge existed. I think that’s why he worried so many people so much.

Uh, how do I get my check because it’s rather easy to decipher what he was talking about, regardless that it was edited footage, not unedited footage.

Oh, I forgot, you’re too much of a coward to respond to me. Stay in your safe space you fragile mouth breather.

Keep thinking that. Trump was hands off and out of his depth.

Why would there have been a 6 (now 7) year 24/7 attack on Trump if he were so ineffectual?

This is what Biden was referring to, since some of you people are afraid of reading, and I would ask that lying news hag for my check but she was smart enough to not name an amount.

Because the squeaky attention who… I mean wheel, gets the grease.

I don’t disagree. I think he went against his instincts and along with the supposedly more knowledgeable Neocons/Dems too often. The results didn’t often differ from what they would have under a Clushama presidency, but I do think he made his own calls.
(To clarify: I think he too often deferred to those who probably get grounded or spanked for going against the wishes of the “establishment”/“military industrial complex”/whatever, but I don’t believe he himself was in danger of being grounded or spanked.)

At least I am a winner in something. Not a jelly looser

I guess jelly looser is something opposite of pectin, a dissolving agent of some sorts.

Just because you saw looser instead of loser, doesn’t mean most Americans did.

OT

Just saw a poll showing Biden approval on economy at 42%. I am at a loss as to what positive he is doing in that area. Allowing hundreds of thousands of uneducated / unskilled per month into the country, cheerleading business closures for covid, overseeing inflation increases, or being the bully pulpit for massive taxation.

maybe there’s more socialists out there than we think - OR the polling sample is skewed towards dummies

Yup. There is a reason I blocked him and others. I got so bored with the personal attacks it just wasn’t worth dealing with anymore. I mean him and another others used to stalk me from thread to thread! How weird is that?

I support their right to say whatever they want, after all I am pro-free speech, I just don’t have to read it or care about it.

Occasionally, I see these types of interactions where I am mentioned and I cannot believe I still live rent free in these people’s heads.
Let them personally attack me all they want. Since they cannot defeat me on the merits of ideas, they have no choice but to get personal.

Someone famous said something to the effect of ‘If some people don’t hate you for what you say, your not saying anything of value.’ ← Something like that.
Appreciate it, man. Thanks.

You know, I thought that too. Based on the fact that he keeps talking about ‘what he’s allowed’ to do. And that he keeps saying he’s going to get into ‘trouble’ if he answers questions. But I do think he’s in charge. The reason is that the country is being run as if a demented, forgetful old fool is running it. Everything is broken. The supply chain is fucked up. Chip shortage? I have never seen grocery stores have empty shelves in perpetuity but there they are. The boarder? Holy crap. And then they WH said expressly that illegal immigrants and congress are exempt from the vaccine mandates, uh what?
The country is running like someone clueless is running it, so I actually do believe he is in charge, because I have never seen things run so badly before.

I just cannot give polling much credit these days as they have been so badly wrong for so many years. But yup, just look at what is happening where. And we are constantly told now not to believe what we see with our friggin’ eyes, when that’s usually the ultimate shit test for most people. Things are spiraling and the vortex is gaining momentum.

I can’t believe Jocko is ripping off my ideas from this thread. I’ll have to hunt that guy down and beat him up with my jiu jitsu.

Whenever someone tries to tell you that such and such is popular, supported, etc. due to mainstream polling data, remind them that if polling was right, Trump would never have been POTUS.

I don’t really care what the polling says, but when people start to argue a course of action based on polling data, we need to keep in mind that a lot of the data is often wrong by quite a bit.

5.2% unemployment
6.6% GDP growth
DJI 34,700+

These are Clinton-esque numbers.

Well, my unprovable suspicion is that the polling folks tend to deal within the same group of people. There are also those that refuse to take them. I am apparently on the rotation of people who to call, because I get them. But a friend of mine refuses to take them. So by default, even if you assume the polling is honest, the sample is pre-skewed. They are asking people who are willing to answer a strange phone number and answer a poll. Which automatically skews the polls. Not to mention that most of them concentrate the polling in the northeast, which is hardly representative.
I take them because I know the use of polling isn’t meant to be informative, but manipulative. So I figure since the sample size is so small, my info puts a thumb on that manipulative scale. Because they extrapolate a sample set of often less than 1000 people to the 340 million, some odd folks to the whole country.
However, the one thing I think, you can get an understanding from polls is if there are major swings. If you see a drastic swing in a short period of time, that may indicate that a metric is changing.

Flats you are a long time bud, but I will have to step on some of this post

  • U3? U6 about 2x that
  • $3.6TT covid money pumped into economy. Technically not GDP, but once it’s spent by recipient - it shows. Just like the other transfers (medicare, ss, etc)
  • DJ hehe The only guy willing to gamble more than a farmer is a stock trader

I will give you Clinton was one of the few in the last 100 years to have a surplus
GOP congress though.
