It’s hard to tell with him because he rarely takes a clear position and advocates for it. Because he’s a troll most of the time.
I’m not feeling sorry for myself. Advocating a clear position will always make people upset with you. I’m used to being called racist, soul-less, a dickwad, a Trump nutsack in my mouth liker, and all sorts of other insults that people with weak-sauce ideas and feelings of anger and confusion resort to when they’re out-matched.
You guys throw out what seem like reflexive criticisms to the rather specific points I try to advance, and then spend dozens of posts entrenching yourself in these absurd positions without providing a shred of evidence to back your points up.
I mean seriously, a utility bill? Calling stuff racist and being unable to back it up with any level of clarity as to why?

It would be like me hopping into a bodybuilding thread to argue with the bodybuilders because I feel like they must be wrong. I can’t say how they should be training or point to any superior results of my own, but I’m still in there letting those wrong bodybuilders have a piece of my mind. Because I know I’m right.

Since you know nothing about Yugoslavia, let me correct you there. Yugoslavia, literally means the slavs from South. It was artificially created by USSR, but had western political influence. First of all historically the Slavic group is a USSR propaganda ethnic group. It literally does not exist. It was created for cultural influence on the Balkans.
Then Yugoslavia was never a country before that. It was created by smaller identity groups, which existed even under Othoman Empire for over 500 yeara. In fact this is why the Empire existed for so long. They allowed local groups to keep their small idenity in order to keep them from uniting to bigger ex countries. For example before the Ottoman empire Bulgaria and Macedonia were allies and often considered one theritory and one country. After the Ottomans they hate their guts.
The countries in Yugoslavia had almost nothing in common. This is why you saw Kosovo for example. They have cultural and language similarities dictated by the Serbs, but at they same time they are very different and independent. For example I can spot immediatelly he differences between a Croat and a Serbian.

I like putting my thoughts out on PWI. I particularly like having them challenged by thoughtful people, but getting to the bottom of the merits of a utility bill as a secure form of ID, getting to the bottom of exactly how many Democrats threw the cops under the bus, getting to the bottom of what you believe the word lockdown really means, or getting to the bottom of how socialist the Nazis really were is not something I care to spend any more time discussing unless it is pertinent to a thread topic.

Perhaps. Because we had a massive Trump thread where unless I remember wrong TDS, orange man bad, etc was trotted out frequently by you when Trump was criticized. What a President said or tweeted was not important (forgive me for paraphrasing what if I remember) and talking about that was obsessive or something.
Then we get a new President (well, I think so the rational opposition whose side might need to figure that out) and you’re posting doctored YouTube videos saying he’s mentally unfit.
That didn’t seem like good perspective to the discussion to me. It’s not the first time we’ve seen stuff like this on here. Liberals got silent pretty quick when Obama didn’t change much in a lot of areas. Some people who posted all the time about big government and the national debt during Obama when Trump ran on pure unicorn lunacy.
To me those things are important. That consistency is important. These parties change and shift all the time. They don’t care about you like you care about them. If we can’t recognize hypocrisy I think that’s an issue. If people won’t listen to someone because of a letter by their name I think that’s an issue. If people won’t criticize people because of a letter by their name I think that’s an issue.
I absolutely would expect people on here to call me out for something similar. Blind devotion to a man or party is something we should all be against in politics. And yet we seem to be there on the whole more than ever.

Again I would find it odd that you’re quick to criticize and champion words and behavior on an anonymous forum and dismissive of those things when it comes to the Presidency. Maybe that’s holding to a higher standard but again the hypocrisy isn’t lost on me…it’s just odd. I’ve always thought people in power should be held to a higher standard and would assume most think the words of those people should be more carefully selected than anonymous social media as they are going to reach more.

Sure, there’s a lot of BS and misinformation spread, but it isn’t really “freedom of speech” when you start deleting the opinions you don’t like… Even if the opinions are stupid (i.e “vaccines cause autism”). It’s a bit of a slippery slope
You start deleting the conspiracy theories… Then you start deleting anything that deviates from your narrative. That’s what Reddit seems to have done. There are a lot of toxic communities within Reddit… As a whole, Reddit tends to deviate left as the user base is largely young men/women who have just graduated high school. Any far right political ideology is censored or deleted. Far left communities however aren’t subject to quarantine or termination, yet both are just as toxic.
But Biden’s withdrawl… How would Trump have done it better? Is there a way Trump could have done it that would’ve kept the Taliban out? The plan to withdrawl troops from Afghanistan was Trump’s, and we was going to do it sooner…
Trump pulled troops out of northern Syria, leading to civillians massacres. Do you condemn this? Its the same kind of political enactment, same kind of ‘disasterous’ outcome. Judging from this I don’t think he would have done any better with Afghanistan.
No. Taliban was always going to take over but that doesn’t mean it is okay to botch the exit as badly as they have.

From my perspective, this has little to do with Democrats or Republicans. Instead those who go against the generalised narrative harboured by the political party they’re opposed to will choose this as justification to shit on democrats.
There are reasons to shit on democrats and Republicans, but this isn’t one of them.
