This workout actually felt really good. My knees have been feeling very achy lately, and my left shoulder and right elbow have been feeling terrible. But I felt good today and the deadlifts felt great.

After the first back off set of DLs my left erector, which I hurt last fall, was feeling pretty wonky. I considered stopping there so as not to risk injury. Then I realized some of my ancestors may be watching and I didn’t want to disappoint them, so I finished. Everything seems fine.

Honestly, I could have added 20 lb to that top set of squats and still been within what I was aiming for, I think. Felt great today. I’m actually stronger on squats right now than I was right before hunting season. All around great workout.

I am back to my pre-hunting season numbers on squat, bench and deadlift. Pivot week followed by a singles block upcoming. Elbow was a little bit of an issue on DL grip today.

I went a little while without deadlifting during Super Squats. My deadlift strength didn’t seem to suffer much, but my grip did. Hook grip just about ripped my thumbs apart today. But, alas, here we are.

Brpees EMOM for 10 minutes. (Started with just 5 every minute because I wasn’t really sure where my conditioning was at. Turns out it’s not terrible. I will maybe start increasing the number if I decide to continue. I hate brpees.)
