So is it your stance that elective procedures are as important as necessities?
What does it take to change someoneâs mind, if not an anonymous person shouting insults at PhDâs in the off-topic section of a bodybuilding website?
Itâs like my grandpa always said. You can lead a horse to water, but you canât always make that horse drink whatâs in that puddle. Horses have pretty strong necks after all, and they may smell something in the water that you donât, but that doesnât change the fact that you know whatâs best for the horse, and it should drink - DRINK THE GODDAMN WATER YOU DUMB HORSE!
Donât ever change!
Is it your stance people shouldnât have a say as to what is or isnât important to them as individuals?
Also, again, explain the difference:

Immediately thought of this

You donât even know what my thoughts are on global warmingâŠ
Just

BTW, this is the Political Forum. A PhD isnât the be-all end-all. Evidence is and if the said PhD doesnât agree with the evidence, does that make him right?
Something that is a life and death situation or is fundamental to life itself takes precedence over elective procedures. There I said it, because your rigid ideology wouldnât allow you to. Bravo, your family must be so proud.
As usual, you CANâT answer the question with valid points.
Who would determine what is or isnât a life or death situation??? Is there choice involved for any pre-appointed health care proxy or next of kid to determine what level of care they or the injured party would want? Or would that be predetermined by whoever decides what is deemed to be life or death?
câmon zeppy donât be like that - I was simply asking a question. You do know how conversations occur, right?
also you still havenât qualified what the difference between rationed healthcare (per your quote) and how itâd be a system that covers everyone. Since I have you talking I figured Iâd throw that in there too ⊠hereâs hopin!!
A doctor(s) could determine if itâs life or death. A cosmetic surgery would be an elective. Knee surgery is not as bad as something awful to do with the heart. So those who are more in need would get service more quickly. Pretty simple, huh?
These are 2 different things. One is surgery. the other is some vague condition. Youâre making it seem like not everyone would be covered.
Would the doctor sit on a panel or would they make the determination in the heat of the moment? what if theyâre wrong and they waste resources?
Need as determined by whom? How do you objectively quantify someone elseâs pain?
You did not ask a question. Take you meds, please.
Doctors can diagnose the problem and their diagnosis will tell of the severity of the problems. Once again those in need will get covered first. This is how rationing is done in other countries regarding healthcare. So everyone IS covered. Unlike the U.S. where healthcare is rationed by your bank account. Even this may not be enough because healthcare is so expensive in this country some people are driven to financial ruin.
Would the doctor sit on a panel or would they make the determination in the heat of the moment? what if theyâre wrong and they waste resources? So you are trying to reference the death panels here?
Need as determined by whom? How do you objectively quantify someone elseâs pain?
Heart disease is far worse than knee surgery. Which one would you rather have?
You couldnât answer anyway.
No. Theyâre not. One person does not have access to the care they want or think they need under rationing. Do you not know what rationing is and how it works? Itâs literally deprivation of choice and control over ones life and health. You get the coverage someone else says they think you need. No other options. Again, theyâre canceling 50,000 surgeries because they have no price signals. They have no way to determine where resources are needed most - they just guess based on incomplete (and out of date) data. Youâre quite literally making my points for me ⊠I can see now why you donât engage people regularly.
As opposed to having a larger portion of my income taken from me so I have less choices I can make with how I live my life? Seems like a fantastic trade offâŠ
Whatâs preventing someone from financial ruin in these other countries? do they not have people who make poor financial decisions?
Hard to answer a question that wasnât asked. Youâd know that if you had a brain.
Why do you ask a question for which the answer is obvious? Smh, damn derelict.
TAX BOOGEYMAN FUCK OFF REPUBLICAN!!!
Well, yea, oneâs a disease and the otherâs a procedureâŠ
How about if the knee is gangrenous and belongs to an 11-year-old while the heart belongs to a 70-year-old obese smoker. Then what?
Ayn, is that you? ![]()
Not having a for-profit healthcare system would be the first obvious clue. Do they have people who are forced into medical BK?
One person does not have access to the care they want or think they need under rationing.
Who does not get necessary medical treatment in the countries who supply single-payer?
The price signals that you are referring to have worked so well in the U.S.?
Life and death are great signals to work with in determining healthcare.
