Derpy McDerperton. We currently spend $2 Trillion out of pocket. This includes premiums, other out-of-pocket expenses, and Medicaid. Medicare cost $12K* PER PERSON. That’s $3.9 TRILLION to cover all 320M American’s. That’s a $1.9 TRILLION DOLLAR variance that has to be made up just to BREAKEVEN.
*Yes, the cost per person will be less as Medicare covers most the elderly who cost more. However, I don’t actually expect you to understand any of the above. It’s got like multiplication involved so no dice for you.

You do realize that pacemakers, facial reconstruction, knee replacements and many other serious things are considered “elective” right?
Elective just means you aren’t in the ER about to die, it doesn’t mean you quality of life isn’t ruined for the 180 days or more it takes to get surgery.
Elective means whatever the regulators want it to mean … hence 50,000 “elective” surgeries being canceled … but hey, they’re elective and no one should be able to decide what they do with their own bodies or take responsibility for the direction of their own health and health care…
