Just because I’m a nice guy and want to save some time here (ftr I don’t believe any of what I’m about to do - you seem like a smart, well adjusted person and I don’t mean to insult to you Despade)
There, saved Zep some time in responding. That’s basically what he does - copy and paste all day.
Plot Twist: Big Pharma is not run by doctors and clinicians. It is run by executives whose main concern is profit. It is the reason they lobbied against cannabis. Do most pharmaceuticals CURE diseases? Are they designed to CURE or just try and manage symptoms? Tens of thousands of people are being helped by medicinal cannabis. Are they being lead down the wrong path? Big Pharma’s effort to block the legalization had everything to do with limiting the public’s choice and force them to take pharma’s garbage synthetic drugs. Great “healthcare” system we have here. The public is made to suffer so pharma can make more money. Pharma can’t compete with medicinal cannabis as there sales have been cut down in every state that has legalized cannabis. Not to mention the falling rates of overdosing with opioids. Wow how terrible.
Isn’t this the same thing then? Pharmaceuticals are “helping” people manage symptoms (according to you), and medicinal cannabis is helping tens of thousands but not curing them…so…same diff, no?
Bruh, you do not explain your position in any nuanced way. I explained my position to which you claimed I’m a mindless shill - why in the name of all that is sane and sound and cogent would I feel the need to answer anything you post with any shred of sincerity any further? (to which you’ll reply with some deflection non-sense, rinse and repeat).
I have posted many times that I am an advocate of healing by natural means. Sometimes that means consuming various nutrients, herbs etc. I will personally choose massage and a good chiropractor over any sort of drug to heal my body. But, no one can deny that various medicines have eased the pain and suffering of millions of people. I know this first hand. When my father was in the later stages of his life he had severe arthritis and without the drugs that were available to him he would have had a lower quality of life. Did these drugs have side effects? Yes. But, there is a trade off between being able to move about without pain and sometimes suffering from side effects of the various drugs. He was aware of the side effects and chose to take the drugs to ease his pain and he did the right thing. Mouthing off on a message board is fine and we all do it. But when the rubber hits the road and your loved one is lying in bed suffering unable to move and the only recourse is what big pharma produces…you choose the meds!
No one is saying you shouldn’t have a choice to take meds. However, when your choice is limited to them so it financially benefits the drug makers that is something entirely different.
Nope, risk/reward, high risk of nasty side effects with the reward of curing/sending things like cancer into remission or you can get baked, eat a shit load of food, not feel nauseous, and die.
