Betaine HCL Question

I’ve been taking 650mg-1.3g of Betaine HCL with meals and its working great. I have a question about coming off of it though. I have read from a few sources that your stomach will start to catch on and start producing more HCL.

Eventually you would be able to wean yourself off of it. This doesn’t make sense to me. It seems like every other body system works in the opposite way. If you supplement something your body makes, it will make less and less of it. Anybody have any thoughts or experience with this?

Thanks

You could come off of it but just know that come late 40’s to early 50’s your body’s own natural production would start declining anyway. HCL and digestive enzynmes are two supplements that I do not plan to ever completely go off of as the overall benefit to longevity as well as digestion make it worth while. You can stimulate your production now assuming you are younger and maybe pick up a more active regimen when you get older.
