Spider-man and Venom are tied as my favorite, so in this case the tie breaker would be

Its got to be Wolverine or Venom. Sabretooth gets the honorable mention.
I always hoped that the last spiderman would be a black suit spiderman/ Eddie Brock Venom story. Similar to how it played on in the animated series. They did a decentish job condensing it. You couldn’t have really went to deep into the Spidey Venom part but you could have easily set yourself up for a sequel and not had to effectively start over with another origin story.
They had to because that was SAM RAIMIE’S vision…and no other director would have done the story like that…and Mcgwire effectively changed Spiderman enough it HAD to be redone.
Shit, no web shooters?
Bullshit. His webs were never organic in the comics.
The Spiderman of the early 00’s wasn’t really even Spiderman. No sarcasm means it isn’t Spiderman.
To be fair to Sam Raimie, he absolutely despised the venom arc. I absolutely agree on the humor point, those films were completely devoid of mirth.

And now we are talking about a black guy playing Mary Jane, WTF?
This is my 1st time clicking on this thread and I went straight to this last page so I don’t know anything about what hasbeen discussed, so forgive me if I’m missing something obvious here. Regarding this statement, I have to ask
I was never into comics as a kid, but I’m curious: was there ever a consensus “toughest” superhero? And I realize that’s a bit ambiguous, so however you’d best answer it would be cool. I even did a site search to see if it had been discussed before but didn’t find anything.

This would be impossible to answer.

Cause…
“No so such thing as tough. Just trained and untrained.”
The Tribunal is the judge of all matters on a multiversal scale. If a situation is so dire that it could mean the danger for the entire universe, he decides the outcome. The Living Tribunal is second to the One-Above-All, who is responsible for all life across all realities. He is, without any doubt, the most powerful entity in/outside of the Marvel universe. Some speculate that he is meant to be the representation of Stan Lee, creator of many of marvel’s greatest characters.
The Spectre is the Spirit of Vengeance and is, essentially, the hand of God. He has limitless divine powers that are only kept in check by the soul that he is bound to. In the comics, he has literally asked God for advice on matters. If he was unleashed from a human soul, he would have access to the power of God. The Presence is the incarnation of God in the DC universe. It is the physical vessel that God uses to interact with mortals without revealing his identity.
This is a pretty good list. I wouldn’t have placed Thanos better than Imperiex, though. I love Thanos, but he wouldn’t beat Imperiex unless he had the Infinity Gauntlet. You guys are welcome.
