You are not missing much. If I had kids I would hit these places up as they have lots of options for picky eaters though.
A group of coworkers and I decided to check a newly built one for lunch one day. I found the experience to be a bit depressing. Lots of morbidly obese people eating near me kinda makes me not so hungry. American buffets often have some really fat individuals as regulars.

You just lack the necessary white trash DNA to be able to appreciate the finer things my dude, haha. I spent SO much time in trash Vegas off-strip buffets as part of my childhood that I get nostalgic at the Golden Corral.
