Joe Louis.
King Leonidas, leader of the 300. These guys took on 1 million persians and other assorted bad guys to protect Greece at Thermapolae.
Can’t wait to see the movie. . .
Musashi, he fought over 60 duels to the death and won.
Maybe Yang Cheng-fu…before he got fat. And the supreme master in lightwieght division… Jou Sung Hwa, death got really pissed off that after 80 years of work the guy looked to still be in the prime of his life, it took a semi to take him out.(jk) ![]()
Musashi and Cheng-fu, please correct me if i am wrong, both earned a title meaning “invincible” in thier lifetimes, this makes them great candidates for “Best FIGHTER of all time.” If you want to talk warrior that’s a whole 'nother can of worms because that includes not only combat skills, but strategy, tactical, and leadership ability. For that category I’ll toss out a random name from the top of my head…Richard “Demo Dick” Marcinko.
Andre the Giant in his prime could kick anyone’s ass. If we’re talking boxing, I’d have to go with Rocky Marciano.

and the addition of time limits(again, another rule to favor strikers).
Sorry, dude, but you must not know nearly as much about jiu jitsu and MMA as your claim. JJ matches have time limits, as do submission grappling matches.
Time limits were added because long JJ matches (where both guys just lay on the ground waiting for the other to do something, so one can capitalize on a mistake) are boring.
If you guys think Bruce Lee was just a film star, try doing your research next time.
I think we can copy and paste from here on…

Today with all the bullshit fighting styles and new rules, in my opinion fighting doesnt serve its purpose. Going back and thinking about everyone in the past, and today, who do you think the best fighter the world has ever seen is? Bruce Lee takes my vote…
Did Bruce Lee actually ever fight anyone for real?
I agree with everyone but for his time Bruce could have held his own. Its to hard to tell today though, everyone is different and the fighers have evolved so much. How about we look at it like this. Theres 2 fighters, 1 ring, no rules, refs, rounds, time limits, just the moment…

Kudo’s! I couldn’t of said it better myself. I still think my wife is the ultimate badass. She is pretty good with throwing her highheels. She has true ninja skills!

I was always curious about those shaolin monks. I like to see one of those guys fight. They spend every waking minute training to the point where their bodies do anything they are told to. I saw a documentary where they were pouring this 200lb iron kettle with one hand and they weren’t allowed to spill a drop…and hanging upside down by their toes from wooden beams. crazy
There was a video on google where they had a monk spar with a black belt TKD guy. The monk didn’t attack, all he did was evade, making the guys best kicks seem like they were being thrown by a 3 year old kid. Then he did these crazy flip kicks and the TKD guy ran from the ring. Search it on google video, it was nuts.
Is this the one you were talking about? It’s horrible video quality, and the music kind of ruins it…
But you can definitely see the Shaolin Monk toying with the TKD guy.
Achilles, Musashi…
Bruce Lee?! Thats awesome. Anyone who thinks Bruce Lee is the best fighter ever has never heard of Fedor.
I get so pissed when people start claiming the Bruce Lee crap. Any one in the know, knows that Jackie Chan is the true father of MMA.
D
Big John sent a Louisiana man to the promised land with just one swing of his right hand.

Bruce Lee’s legacy holds about as much veracity to it as Achilles’, who was a fictional character.
That monk sucked in that video. When he went to attack his opponent every single strike hit AIR. It was all show on both sides.
Mamoru Yamaguchi>Bruce Lee.
I vote for Kip Dynamite.

This without a doubt gets my vote…
