Best Calf Routine Anyone Has Used

I recall reading an old Larry Scott piece where he talked about very little rest between sets for calves. He spoke about the density of the particular muscles, and how they can ‘take a beating’.

Yeah thats why i started doing it, i read something about the fact they are used all day so respond to the same kinda thing…

I try, and enfasis on trying, to do three sets like that ( then again im not using the DC template just some principles behind it)

The first set is okay… the second… even if i rest three minutes, i cant repeat the performance of the first. :slight_smile:
And in the third is twenty reps with 7 seconds negative. And that 20 repper is not doable many times :slight_smile:
But the calves are growing nicely! 2 inches since i started using the recommendations of Dante. Since December.

LOL. Well, maybe you’re just a masochist. :wink:

Seriously though, like Will mentioned, you have to either use a second hand, or have a partner count out the seconds for you. Otherwise, you will cheat (or lose count of time/reps) during the sets.

My point wasn’t that it’s not possible to do more than one set either. Just that, I can’t imagine wanting to.
