Best Anime Ever Thread

from looking around, it looks like FMA:BH is only 1/2 way done. i can only find the first 26 episodes available for rent or to buy. i guess they havent been released on DVD or BR yet.

Someone fuckin watch sword of the stranger.
Seriously.

BUT i did find FMA:BH on Hulu in its entirety! guess what ill be doing the next couple of weeks (thank you hulu iphone app!)

FMA didnt follow the manga at all after about 1/2 way through since it was still being written and thus is a completely different story than was written. Brotherhood follows the manga. The story in brotherhood just seems more epic and crazy

i watched the first 5 episodes of FMA:BH last night and im liking it. it has a “darker” feel to it. there are the comic relief parts, but for the most part it feels like its a little more serious and IMO explains the story a little bit more in detail.

All you’ll most likely ever need… Unless you prefer dubbed… Shivers

i personally prefer FMA dubbed bc ive gotten used to the voice actors. the japanese ones irritate me (especially for Ed, he sounds like an 8 year old girl).

How the bloody hell hasn’t anyone mentioned Darker Than Black? That’s gotta be one of the most badass animes out there.

Some of the concepts on there are really unique too, which make it stand out to me. And it makes you think; there’s a sort of message or meaning behind each episode.

Can’t really compare it to any other anime, so I’ll give an synopsis (a very vague one).

Contractors are people with individual powers; they became contractors after the appearance of two gates, which made half of South America and Tokyo uninhabitable. Contractors are so called because they carry out an obeisance for using their powers, which range from drinking booze to breaking one’s own finger.
The story follows a very skilled contractor through his numerous assignments, which all relate to the overarching storyline.

Oh and Full Metal Panic is pretty good. Former child soldier, now special forces operative attends normal Japanese high school to protect a pupil. Hilarity ensues.

No one here ever watched Guyver?? As a kid, I loved watching it.

I need to watch ninja scroll again.

It was actually voted Best anime. I have it saved on my external harddrive, but i havent made time to watch it. Showed up at a friends house the other day and we ended up watching 3/6 of the last episodes, and now im itching to watch the series lol. Such an amazing anime.

When the fuck are they gonna air the next episode of Hellsing Ultimate…?! It’s been a year…

hellsing and hellsing ultimate, cowboy bebop, original evangellion and the new movies, akira, fma brotherhood, gungrave(amazing story), samurai champloo, death note, and highschool of the dead .

those are my all-time favorite anime’s in no particular order …

I can’t stand naruto, dbz/db gt… original was amazing imo… and bleach. anything that drags on like that deserves to be cancelled.

oh forgot to mention… stan lee commissioned an anime, its called hero man…its pretty entertaining.

Since I watched a lot of Spanish TV as a kid there some anime I prefer to watch in Spanish. Anyhow I will list some of the anime I have watched and enjoyed.

For kids
Dr. Slump(I think, I haven’t watched it in a long time)
Heidi Swiss girl from the alps
Hello! Sandybell
captain tsubasa

Other stuff
Ranma 1/2
DB/DBZ/DBGT
ghost sweeper mikami
chrono crusade
Full Metal Alchemist
the melancholy of haruhi suzumiya
Samurai Champloo
Ninja Scroll
princess mononoke
trigun
spawn
inuyasha
Naruto
Bleach
ah my goddess
Saint Seiya
Some of these I still need to fully watch and some other anime movies currently escape me at the moment, i also need to watch some of the stuff suggested here.

I’ve watched Cowboy Bebop, Samurai Champloo, Fullmetal Alchemist, Death Note, Claymore, and Code Geass. I haven’t seen any anime that wasn’t at least a little stupid, but I still liked all of the shows I’ve seen. I especially liked Code Geass. The main character takes over the fucking world. It was epic as hell.

Trigun is the only anime I ever actually got into. I got so into it, in fact, that I had to buy the box set. Great show!

I’d like to check out Bleach, FMA, and Hellsing.

TANK POLICE!

Ninja Scroll and Ghost In The Shell.

Ghost in the Shell has two or three movies and two seasons of episodes. Fuck One Piece, Naruto, Bleach and all the other well known animes. Ninja Scroll and GITS are the best.

Update on the Berserk anime

It’s gonna be multiple movies, they will do the whole manga and the first movie should be out mid 2011

Just watched “Ghost in a Shell”. I didn’t want this movie to end.

Sorry, had this on my HD for a while and had to use it.
