Berardi chili + other massive eating recipes

I whipped up some of John Berardi’s massive eating chili last night and it sure does hit the spot. I remember someone posting the serving size, caloric and macronutrient breakdown of it but I cant find the post…anyone remember??
Also if anyone has any other good massive eating ideas or recipes feel free to post them…

this is a damn good way to have your pancakes in the morning if you are trying to lose a few inches on the midsaction
Egg beater pancakes
4 servings of egg beaters
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3/4 cup oatmeal
blend it all up and pour it on the frying pan in pancake size circles. cover it with a sugar free syrup(adkins makes one that aint that bad)
total calories-330, and 31 grams of protein, 39 grams of carbs, 4.5 grams of fat(the good kind it is oatmeal afterall)

Kelly, I actually went to the grocery store today to pick up the ingredients for some massive chili. I wanted to incorporate this meal into my diet as a protein plus fat meal, but found myself disappointed with the amount of carbs that are in the ingredients. Here’s what I picked up for 7 meals worth: 3.67 lbs ground beef, 1 398 mL can red kidney beans (I’m only going to use 1/2 can), 1 796 mL can stewed tomatos (again, only 1/2 can) and 1 156 mL can of tomato paste. This will work out to 45 g protein, 27 g fat, and 12 g carbs per serving. There’s a few grams of fiber in each meal so it should be reasonable for a p+f meal. However, I suspect it will be more like ground beef with a chili coating, rather than your usual chili.

Speaking of pancakes Ketogenics makes a low-carb pancake mix. I found it in a health food store and it really tastes good. One serving contains 22 grams of protein and only 3 grams of carbs. I just add an egg and water to mine and this delivers 3 pretty decent sized pancakes.

You know, regarding chili, I’m from the southwest and no respectable chile eater puts kidney beans in chili. The standard bean is the pinto. John Berardi must be from the East Coast.

Has anyone got any REAL recipes or are we gonna rant and rave about how awesome Berardi’s chili is? We all know it Rocks!

You want GOOD chili? or HEALTHY chili? LOL! I use 2 bottles of Becks Beer in mine…gives it a great extra flavor…jacks the carbs up…but I don’t sweat the small stuff…lol!
