Shame on some of you.

Even at 16 I wouldn’t abandon my principles and engage in conduct that so egregiously violates school policy, most laws and more importantly, righteous, correct and civilised behaviour.

No - I would not have had sex with this teacher even if she tempted me. Maybe I just hold myself to a higher standard.
I hope this was filled with sarcasm. Cause if not I think you caught the ghey
Na, if that was srs, he hunted it down wrestled it into submission and made sweet, sweet love to it.

Hell yes…

Sorry Mom, I got detention again. Teacher promised to work with me one on one with my biology homework!

Oh yes it was wrong… So delightfully wrong. I never had any of my teachers take such an interest in me…
I don’t blame them, but still.

He scored with a cheerleading teacher. It’s a double win.
See it’s a double standard, if he genders would have been reversed, it would have been a crime and pigish. But as for that? Sorry, unless she some how managed to ‘rape’ the kid, which I sincerely doubt, the kid was more than willing I am sure… Then I’d let it go.

The rules are different for boys and girls. There is a double standard and that’s that. The fact that it works in one or the other’s favor from time to time, is just the way it is. It balances out in the end.
I treat my daughter different than my son, I know I do it and I don’t give a shit. A girl can’t physically make a boy do what she wants, but a boy can physically make a girl do what he wants. Because of that fact, I am way more protective of the girl. And if somebody puts their hands on her in a bad way, I will kill them with my bare hands, period.

This is basically how my Father raised us…he never tried to pretend that there was not a double standard in terms of what was expected and allowed with boys and girls.

Maybe you should opt for a less satisfactory but also less crime scene contaminating option?

You could strangle him, using a cheese cutter.

No mess, but still with a vigorous visceral impact.

I hate to say this, but we have to be consistent. Most people see nothing wrong with this. And there isn’t anything wrong with this. However, if it had been a 20 or 30 something male teacher that had sex with a 16 year old female student, and everything was consensual, and the girl enjoyed every minute of it, some of you would be calling for the male teacher to be hanged.

by some of you, you do mean “society”

Not hanged, but a guy that has sex with a 16 year-old is a loser, to use high school terms.
A 16 year-old boy that gets a 25 or whatever year-old cheerleader is nigh a hero.

Look, it’s like a key that can open many doors. That key is superior.
A door that can be opened by many keys on the other hand is almost worthless.

Yeah, but isn’t everyone and everything equal nowadays? Also, why are we to automatically assume that a 16 y/o girl that has sex with any male 18 or older is a “victim” of some sort? You say it’s different for a 16 y/o boy, because he has to be aroused to have sex. Well that raises questions in and of itself. If thats the criteria, then can’t 16 y/o girls also get sexually aroused? If she has sex with a 25 y/o man and she cums like crazy, is she still a victim? What if the girl initiated sex? Before saying the 16 y/o girl is a victim, I think we have to look at the context of the situation and not solely on the age of the parties involved. A 16 y/o female is not a child, she is a young woman and knows enough about sex to decide if she wants to have it. Calling her a victim is just a kneejerk, feminist reaction.

Furthermore, it’s not uncommon for “REAL” rape victims to become sexually aroused or even have an orgasm during the rape. If a woman is forcibly raped by a man and she gets wet or has an orgasm during the rape, would you say it isn’t a rape victim because of the way her body responded?

See, men and women are supposedly equal in our 21st century western society. So laws have to be enforced equally across the board. What’s good for the goose is good for the gander.

As for a guy having sex with a 16 y/o girl being a loser, I would have to ask why is he a loser? If it’s legal wherever he’s at, I see nothing wrong with that. Up until the rise of feminism, girls that age commonly got married to men older than them.

Check my door/key analogy.

I mean we may call young women in their 20s “girls” but I don’t really think one should have sex with girls.

Though when I was 18 I did have a 17 year-old.

Exactly…double standards here are justified.

Yep - this is one of the few double standards that isn’t better for old(er) men, oh well.

My guess is everyone that is pissed about this is obviously an old dude who wants to bang a 16 y/o. /sarcasm, kinda

I agree there is a double standard and I agree that it is at times appropriate. But if this was your son who the (30+ year old) teacher was showing a good time to, how would you react?

I agree with Nards and Jewbacca (I htink it was) above. Most 16 year olds are not ready for that type of relationship.

That said, I’m still not convinced there should be jail time for this… 'course I’m also not sure there should be jail time if the genders were reversed (damn, did I just agree with an HH troll?!?)

I see this pretty much the same way Clip11 does. 16-year-old females or males are not usually considered children. Children are people who have not reached puberty. Adolescences normally begins at about age 11 or 12 and ends at around age 22. Psychology was my liberal arts major in college, so I may be slightly biased based on what I learned in child and adolescent development courses. Adolescent females, as a whole, are no more innocent than adolescent males. The sexes may think and act differently, but one is no less conniving than the other. If either sex wants something, they’ll look for ways to get it.
