Benefits of Oils and Nuts

I have been adding flax seed oil and olive oil to my protein shakes for a few months now and also consume lots of nuts on a daily basis. My question is: What are your own personal benefits from taking extra oils or whatever it is you do to add those omega 3-6 fats to your diet?

To be honest, I don’t really notice any difference at all whether I take them or not…I just know they are good for you so I take them. Just curious to how others benefit from them. Does it help you lose the fat? Does your skin look better? Are your shits smoother? You get the point

I think it may be better to add the actual flax meal or groundup flax seeds than just the flax oil. This way you get the fiber lignan benefits as well as a small amount of protein benefit.

Also you should notice your absorbption of other foods better. Also the actual flax meal has been shown to help prevent colon and prostate cancer.

well blood work for me shows excellent cho levels since the addition, joint pain is way down to no existent, much better skin etc as you said. General health I feel good etc

unfortunately I live here in Mexico and can’t find the flax meal or even the nuts. We do have a costco about 30 min. away. Maybe they have something of sort. Thanks for the info

I completely agree with the joint pain being greatly diminished.

I just purchased some soy oil from the local market. I don’t know much about soy oil, but I will give it a try.

Soy oil waste of time IMO you a=should all ready be getting more than enough of those fatty acids. IMO most supplementation of oils should be focused on your omega Threes like fish oils, walnuts. That and also adding things such as Olive oil for he high amount of monos’ where as your soy oil is 61% polys and the most bastardized processed oil out there along with corn oil
