The weights were old school plastic weights filled with water. So he really benched like 100 pounds.
wait plastic floats the bench was -5 pounds, new world record for a negative bench!!
Ever notice how the people that bitch about geared lifting tend to not compete in ANY division…and tend to squat MAYBE 225?
Versus the 307.3 lbs you do, in your dynamo x3000 squat suit, only 699.99$ plus tax…
Btw, I do compete, no gear. At my gym’s last competition, I beat a dude who wore a bench shirt and a squat suit, on every event but squat. It was pretty pathetic considering hes been doing this for like 2+ years and is being trained by the pl’er’s clique there.
Where as me and my friend just train by ourself, no gear, no roids and still manage to beat those pansies.
Next time you should compete against a man and not a girl. lol
GEAR LIFTING WILL LIVE FOREVER!!!

Don’t hate because you’re too poor to afford the good stuff.

You squat and deadlift 405 and bench 280 at a bodyweight of 230 lbs. Sorry to break it to you, but as far as raw powerlifting goes, you aren’t shit.
This means that the “pansies” that you beat are most likely complete beginners or a great deal lighter than you. Sure, you beat some kids who couldn’t bench 280 in a shirt. Awesome. Are you going to tell us next that you are stronger than some lifters at the Special Olympics too?
Back under your bridge now.

I lift raw. You’ve made a retarded assumption based upon your own insecurity.
Seriously, if you don’t like gear, don’t compete in geared feds. SIMPLE.

Yeah dude, that guy is a total pansy. Just so fucking pathetic. But you looking down on other people who try hard in a sport based around personal records is not pathetic at all.
My lifts have all gone up anyways, by the way the dude I beat was 220.

Then he sucked and you still shouldn’t be proud of that.

I certainly HOPE they went up, as they didn’t really have anywhere else to go.
Less time trashing geared lifting, more time in the gym please.

x8,375,876.
I am not the biggest fan of gear, but I have used it before.
I see no reason to bag on people who are fans of it however. They are still strong as hell.
And if you don’t like gear, then lift in raw federations. Problem solved.
TBH, the constant bickering about gear and the political fights between various organizations made me lose a lot of interest in PL’ing and I have since gravitated towards O-lifting as a result.
Personally, PL’ing is such a fringe sport anyway that I see no reason for it to be even further fractured by all the bickering that goes on about who did what in what organization and with what gear. Just find the damned federation that has rules you like, train hard, enjoy competing, and don’t slam on what other people do in other organizations.

A-fucking-men.
I dunno…I ain’t going to criticize it, but I don’t really like it. I’m never going to compete in any PL or strength sports so it doesn’t really bother me from a competitive standpoint, it just bothers me. But to be honest, I’ve read that after using a shirt for a month or two, you’re raw bench might jump 40-50 lbs and that has me intrigued.

It’s posts like this that make me want to go buy some double ply metal and 1000 tabs of D-Bol. Why are so many of the other RAWR lifters such d-bags?
Have you ever even been to a legit, untested, multiply powerlifting meet?
PS: I’ve quarter squat reverse band crazy bell chain squatted a fucking house, multiply.
