Being sick and exercise - TRT

Hi folks… any insights as to whether you must exercise while you’re on TRT? Historically I’ve always been able to maintain an exercise regime even if I got a cold or flu… maybe I skipped a couple of days max. But here I am really sick this year with a bad cold virus and I haven’t been able to exercise for 5 days. The only exercise I’ve been able to do is walk my dog once daily.

Feeling like crap mentally and physically at this point so I want to know if exercise with TRT is absolutely necessary despite this bad cold I’m experiencing. I’m thinking it’s not a good idea but I don’t know if this impacts the TRT I’m undergoing. Also, I had to move my dosage from .45mg Wed morn, Sat eve to 0.38mg e3d. Maybe that’s having an impact as well although I do feel calmer which was the whole point.

Thank you in advance for your insights.

I’m sure you will get a multitude of varying replies. I’ll be the first to say that missing a few days or even a week of working out, regardless of being on TRT or not, is not a big deal. When you are sick, its best to let your body rest.

No. However, exercise is helpful in ensuring one achieves the maximal benefits of TRT, but so is staying in good health. If exercise prevents you from healing from illness, it’s not helpful.

Nope, you don’t have to work out if you don’t want to. But there’s lots of benefits on and off testosterone.

Let me add some clarity here. TRT is not a PED cycle, it’s a replacement dose of testosterone. Do what an individual with a healthy HPTA does (ie normal male) in all situations. Working out and TRT are not synonymous.
