Solid advice! I have some decent stuff ready for this week
Okay so the restarted logging isn’t exactly daily.
Friday 2 hours of open play pickleball, most people were higher level than i am used to. Actually enjoyed this, would rather lose in a competitive game than win easy ones against bad players. Went to two different shows on Friday night, one for a theater reopening (federal theatre) which was a fun show (los mocochetes) and then got talked into going to an EDM show (dombresky) which was quite bad lol.
Took Saturday off

Lat pulldown (wide): 90 x 20, 160 x 10, 12 (failureish)
Back extension: 3 x 12
Straight arm pulldown: 60, 50, 40 x 10
Lats got a really solid pump out of this.
25ish min incline walk
About 90 min later played just under 2 hours of pickleball. Was a doubles round robin format with 3 other players, played 3 matches with each person and got my DUPR rating from it. 2 people were not good, one was decent a bit worse than me. Lost my first game but won my next 8, enjoying getting into this. Tons of room for improvement.
Easy Legs:
Abduction: 90 3 x 15
Adduction: 70 2 x 15, 115 x 15
Hammer Strength hip/glute machine: 95 x 10, 145 x 10, 205 x 10, 235 x 20
^ first time trying that, not sure I really got it but it felt decent
Pullups: 2 x 5
Quad extension: 55, 80 x 30, 100, 115 x 20 (ouch)
Leg lifts: 2 x 15
Incline walking: 1.25 miles, ~22 min, ~380’ elevation gained
Actually tried to jog today but the motor on the treadmill didn’t like all 265 lbs of me running on it, an experience I am sure not many experience on a regular basis lol
Welp, the afternoon after i posted i was informed by the lady that took winnie on off leash hikes that she accidentally hit and killed her. Been an absolutely brutal week, she was a nutjob but a good dog and my best bud. Hate that she’s gone and hate that there is nothing i can do but have been trying to keep going. Although diet has gone to shit.
Last week played pickleball a few times (2 hour sessions) and took a short hike at elevation (square lakes by guanella pass).
Did arms saturday, legs sunday (abduction, adduction, hams, quads), shoulders yesterday (face pulls, lateral raises, shrugs, abs) and have done a bit of cardio each of those days.
I’m currently watching a friend’s dog but might try to make it to the gym anyway today.
Been weighing in the low 260s for the last 5 days or so, looking okay but a bit more leanness would be nice.

1 mile incline walking ~22ish min and 550’ climbed

Alright, I’m getting softer than I have been in years and been going to the gym but mostly just shooting the basketball around. Overall activity has declined, garbage eating has increased.
Weighing in the upper 270s at the moment, going to try to get some lifting back in, clean up the diet and see where that leads me.
Life has been hectic since my last post, winnie passed, got promoted/pushed into management at my job, bought a house, and now have a kid on the way. Trying to establish a bit of routine before the child comes, i’m sure it will be disrupted once it happens but better to have a base to start from.
Will be going on a trip to Hawaii on Friday and will come back with some energy to start all of this or that’s the plan, at least.
