Trying to fully experience the stretch on these, hitting the absolute bottom of my range on hack squats, really works the quads well. Stairmaster felt like hell.
Talked to a random gym bro about his knee sleeves, was trying to ask him about the brand but he gave me a rundown on why he used them and a bunch of other equipment he used to stay healthy. Turned out he was a pro bodybuilder, not sure his name but the dude was 30% wider than me and almost a foot shorter. Also, not one of the 5 biggest dudes in the gym at the time. Bonkers how big these people are, motivating though.
Did some speed work yesterday because olympics. Ran 4 x 400 with small walking gaps between, didn’t go below upper 80s range. Definitely not in shape for this kind of work especially considering the elevation but it felt good, in the worst kind of way.

Just trying out new machines, liked this one Super lat pulldown circular - Panatta Sport. Not focused on moving weight, trying to focus on moving the weight well, feels good.
Talked to doc and he ordered me some labs including testosterone, if it is low he said he’ll order it for me. Might be a new phase in the lifting game for me, we’ll see. Now I need to find a printer.

Had a busy few days around then. Got a show in at Red Rocks, pretty awesome venue! Also had a baby shower (actually baby kegger) and went to a Rockies game this weekend, woke up this morning feeling like i’d been beat by a rubber mallet. Not much has changed there but put some solid food down, will get some more work done tomorrow assuming work doesn’t blow up.
Testosterone results came back, was a bit under 300, Dr. thinks TRT could be helpful and is willing to sign off on it, so am going to go that route. Also doing a quick civil ceremony tomorrow so will officially be Mr and Mrs heretolog then co-opting an already planned 10ish day trip to Portugal as our honeymoon in a little under a month.

Dr. ended up prescribing me Testosterone Cypionate, 200mg a week, currently scheduled to take it once a week. Started Tuesday evening, glad my wife has medical experience and no qualms with shooting me in the butt with a needle. Excited to see how this plays out!
Have short trips planned each of the next two week(ends) for fun/moral support, will see if i can’t find a gym (should have hotel access for a few days) or a rec center to keep moving, worse case scenario is i’ll just wake up early to run a bit.
Congrats on the marriage dude! Th’s an exciting part of life. And congrats on getting some healing. That’s the exact dosage I am on, and it’s been life changing. Your starting numbers are quite a bit better than mine were, but getting back to normal cannot be overstated.
Improvement period dot was within the first 2 weeks, but I was starting in SUCH a low spot that doubling my test would have STILL put me in double digits. The longer I went with the treatment, the more I discovered symptoms I didn’t even know I had until they went away.
Vegas debauchery levels were extremely high friday night, had a good dinner, The Killers were great, and lost $200 dollars gambling while drinking way too much. Went to Bacchanal Saturday morning while nursing a hangover, was delicious but way too much food, got some solid dinner but kept drinking to a reasonable level. Was a good time in any case, got to see a bunch of friends in one place which is getting less common.

Called it there, have been slammed with meetings, should be more clear the next few days. Planning on hitting legs and abs today and getting shoulders in sometime friday or saturday. Seated curl machine was Atlantis Biceps Isolator, thought i was going to like it more than I did but it got my arm at a weird angle and I didn’t feel the greatest connection.
Headed back to Vegas Wednesday-Saturday next week but there won’t be any partying, just working, supporting the wife, and seeing family so shouldn’t be nearly as harmful to recovery as last week.
Left there, went to Costco got some quality stuff and headed home. Need to get back on the cardio train but this was solid enough work, first time squatting in a long time. Felt like it. Did it in socks and more of a low bar style, wasn’t too hard but it wasn’t very easy either. Will probably just rotate it in with my other days.
Thinking I might start another DC block when I get back from my trip towards the end of December, I certainly have enough machines and options to make changing movements easy.
