Saturday - 06 April 2024 Workout: Easy conditioning (50 minutes)
Walk - 45 minutes
I’ve been opting for 120 calories on the bike because, well, time: The bike rides are pretty quick. But my wife wanted to try out her new weighted vest, and she agreed to try my route, so I double-dipped: Time with her and some “training.”
That’s likely it for today, but I got 5 weight lifting workouts and some conditioning in this week, and that’s infinitely better than what I did for almost all of March!
No workout today, but we were less than two hours from the path of totality, so we made the drive and hung out in the middle of nowhere for the afternoon.
I know you will get back. Take it one step at a time and set small goals. Take the small steps instead of jumping in full throttle again. You’ve got this
I drove up about an hour and got a great show of clouds, which was roughly what I’d been getting for the last 3 straight weeks haha. I’d already been to one where I got the full experience, so not too bummed, but can’t imagine the huge amount of people who traveled for this and got clouds.
Bit quiet, hope everything is good. Was watching the fallout series last night and struck me to my mind you look like a jacked and more handsome version of Walton Goggins (obviously pre nuclear holocaust)
Alternatively you could jump on the DC train, it’s getting me excited about lifting again. @boilerman is like the 2nd coolest person here behind @tlgains and he is doing it
To have my name mentioned alongside such greatness has me all giddy! I usually feel like the 3rd grader on the playground who gets picked last for sportsball because he’s too busy picking his nose behind that hot metal slide that would skin you alive if you went down it in shorts.
I appreciate that man! And I’m not currently running DC, but rather Fortitude Training, which takes heavy inspiration from DC and its creator Dr. Scott Stevenson, was a long time practitioner and DC coach himself!
I have always been impressed by your work capacity. You put in some serious workouts in here man. Often times I have wondered how you were able to recover from some of those workouts.
There is a lot of value in just punching the clock too. Just my 2 cents and you know what that’s worth.
Good luck, we will be here when/if you decide to come back.
