There are probably more towns in MS that are majority black than majority white. The whole state is essentially 60-40 white to black and with many whites being outside city limits that leaves the city governments being mostly black run. Never really been any issues with that in my town, except when it came to hiring fire fighters but for the most part things have remained relatively calm. Other places there seems to be a lot more head butting though.

They are racist enough many places to make incredibly racist commerce decisions at the minimum.

And “like the NOI?”, I’d say no. But there are few groups like the NOI. Definitely more subtle. But yes, groups that support the exclusive advancement of one race over all others.

Doing things like blocking needed businesses from opening because they didn’t have black ownership and letting commercial building sit vacant rather than allow a white man to make honest money.
