Beard Power

Same here. I could go full beard in high school if I wanted. I guess I get my beard abilities from my mom. She has a sweet beard.

You’re white though. I know for me, I still don’t even have much hair on my legs. I had no back hair until about the age of 30…and no chest hair until after college. I was never very hairy. It is like my body just finally hit full maturity.

It makes me think that most guys are not really grown up until mid to late 30’s…for real…in all areas.

Can I toss a bet out their that you’re probably balding? Most people I know who are able to grow full beards very young also tend to bald early too.

I am not sure what changed, I was a very late bloomer. So much that I actually grew another inch in my 20’s. The patches eventually just filled in. Well most of them…If I trim it to short it can look a little patchy. So I don’t trim it to short.

I can’t see it.

I think so too man. All the biggest, strongest motherfuckers are in their 30’s and 40’s. Some of that is because it takes so many years (decades) of hitting the iron to reach those levels, but I think some of it is just that “old man strength”. Once a man gets past his 20’s he seems to not only get hairier but stronger. I dunno if it’s denser muscles or better neurological connections or what. Makes me optimistic about lifting as a life long endeavor though.

Yeah, I’m with you on this. I mean, look at Stu, X and BluecollarTr8(sp?). Older dudes that have enough beef to make most younger lifters look like a bitch.

I wouldn’t leave pushharder out of the stout old man group either.

Oh yeah. I have yet to see 200 lb DB’s in a gym, let alone do rows with them.

When I was a kid, I actually thought bodybuilders didn’t have body hair because all that muscle prevented the hair growth.

Since when was having a beard considered sexy, you goat face looking mo*********?

Don’t be hating because you can’t grow one.

We’re talking about beards in this thread not penises.

I think this pic belongs in the beard thread also~

Edgy, you look like you should be an extra in an epic Jomsvikings film!

I find this very interesting and in some ways promising.

I met a state-level champion bodybuilder and he told me similar things. He told me he couldn’t hold on to an ounce of muscle until his mid 30’s. While probably somewhat of an exaggeration… I do wonder if it’s no coincidence that a lot of top guys are in their mid to late 30’s these days.

So far I am not balding but I am only recently 22. I have suspicion that my hair line … specifically the sides of my forehead has gone back a bit but it’s really hard to tell. I DID stop growing taller around 14/15 though - I’ve definitely suspected that was the reason why I was one of the first in my school to get facial hair. I’ll probably die younger, too… wonderful.

just to develop this slightly: does anybody else think that muscle looks better as it ages? Up to a point, obviously, but guys in their late 30s and 40s muscle always looks grainier and denser than younger guys.
