That’s a well-groomed beard, though. You’re not just growing it out freestyle.

Yeah, I tend to look homeless if I just let it grow wild. it’s strange what a difference that can make too.

I always do the deranged lumberjack look in the winter. Keeps my face warm and frightens children at the same time.

It’s fun to let it go wild once in a while if you don’t have a lot going on, but it’s weird how people will treat you like a bum if you look like one. I keep mine neat for the most part. The chicks dig a well groomed beard…
Of course, when I did just let it rip for a few months when I was out with my back, my wife kept telling me how she liked it, that the liked to run her fingers through it, etc.

I retorted, “Yeah, but I look like shit”, she was like “I don’t know”. Of course, now, looking back she sees how ugly it was… I could pull the mustache hair down to my chin. It also kept going in to my mouth as I ate, I was over it.

THREAD RESURRECTION

About 2 1/2 months. Only trimmed the mustache.

I wish I had some beard power but mine when it comes in is not full. Its ratty looking and messed up. Some people thought I looked homeless LOL.

I’ve been wearing a beard for 5 years now, and it’s still weird to me that I have one because I could not grow a full one before.
It totally changes how strangers interact with you. People take me much more seriously with a beard than they did when I did not have one.

For real.

I used to scare people.
Now they just die in place.

This can fuck up a date.

Thing I find beards do I’d they make you look older than you are, at least for a lot of people

I see more black dudes with beards than ever before. I think even that is changing. Before, only old dudes grew beards. Now, you have guys in the NBA sporting 1 foot long beards. The field is open now.

Everything comes and goes in style.

Beards are definitely it right now. I hang out with a lot of artists and stuff too. Everyone has a beard. A few hipster mustaches thrown in for a good measure.

I also tend to look more intimidating when I have a beard, especially when my head’s shaved. A shaved head and a long ass beard scream badass.

I think the ‘terrorist look’ is in.

Here’s my half-assed beard… but DAMN that’s great head o’ hair for a 50-year old!

On the subject of hair…why is it I couldn’t grow a beard at all until damn near college (and that was just scruff)…but now I got back hair like a gorilla?

I was almost hairless until 30. Had no visible chest hair until after college.

Do we become gorillas as we age?

If so…whooopie?
