Fuck me sideways and call me Shirley… Steve is back at it with me, so I had him follow what I was doing. It was bam, bam, bam, bam. I lift, drop weight, he went. Add weight, I went. My hamstrings and adductors were screaming after the 3rd set. How I didn’t cramp, and most of all puke my guts out, is a mystery. Then the volume afterwards with the accessories. lol. ahahahaha. I wanted to punch a baby… It is the next day, and I’m walking downy. I love it though. I haven’t felt this great since High School.

When it looked like the meet was not going to happen, i looked around for somewhat close meets and found one in idaho falls that would’ve been about the same distance. But with physics to deal with, i probably will not do another meet in the near future. Probably will just get stronger all around, and attempt to destroy my wabdl record next march, and possibly get a bench shirt to play with.

Pretty good session. Bicep gave me some issues, but since I know where the problem stems from, I worked out the knots as they appeared throughout the workout. Came up with a new way to ice my arm. I call it the Redneck Ice Pack. Drive down the highway on your way home at 80 MPH, with your arm hanging out the window when it’s 50 outside. Worked pretty well. lol A week of from eating the way I should, and my stomach shrank… Back to 5 meals a day. 3 whole meals, 2 shakes. Getting about 500g of protein in. I love food, but gagging it down sucks. Live large my friends.

I never wanted to murder someone in my life so bad as last night. After the last set, I just leaned on the rack for 5 minutes before I could even think again. Was fun though. lol. One of the most fulfilling feelings I had after I was done. Yes, it sucked, but will be worth it in the end.

Go to the worldpowerlifting website and take a look at the meet form. I can’t see anything on it about restrictions about how much one can lift. Doesn’t look like an invitation only meet, but i may be missing something.

Way better then last week. lol The fact I really didn’t lift for 2 weeks besides the meet took its toll last week. Felt really good. Nice and strong out of the whole on the last sets. Plus, nothing is as grueling as our boys overseas fucking up the towel heads in the desert. Without them, and the ones that fought the Revolution, WWI, WWII, to now, I wouldn’t be able to do this shit. Thank you to all the service men and women out there. You will never be forgotten.

For the hell of it, took measurements and weight today. I’m at the point where I don’t give a shit, I just want to get strong. Nothing else in my life is going right except powerlifting. Sitting at 337, 62.5" shoulders, 56" waist, 54" keg, 49" waist, 29" leg, and 17" arm. Live large my friends.

Also, a high schooler going into his Senior year is lifting with me. Started today. Asked me to get him ready for football. This will be fun.

Awesome day. First set hit the racks, saved it from falling on my face with my own power (thanks guys…), and racked it on the lower pin. 2nd set felt really good. Focusing on tucking my elbows better. Guess what. No shoulder/arm issue. Whodafuckthunk? Looked at some video, and noticed my left arm flaring right away. Always something to work on.

Got both Austin and Steve lifting tonight as well. It’s nice having some partners (when they spot…) to liven things up. Didn’t need my music going to keep me motivated. This is weird… lol

Awesome fucking day. Very happy with the speed on the last pull. Felt slow, but in reality flew up, even while feeling like dieing. A huge plus is I have no shoulder/arm pain today like usual after bench. My buddy Steve noticed my left arm keep flaring out. So, I focused on the tuck the while time, and no issues today. Next week is heavy, then deload. Will test the waters next week, and if I feel like today, then I’m going to tell Josh lets hit this fucker hard.

After the last set, there was no feeling in my legs at all. Walked a few steps and collapsed. As I type this, I’m starting to feel my hamstrings again. lol. Been awhile since I’ve felt like this.

Austen showed up late, but not his fault. Showed up at least, and got work done. He said it’s been a long time since his legs were jello. Put a smile on my face. He keeps at it, he will have a good year on the field.

So, forgot my gym shorts at home… Luckily I wore my jean shorts today. Otherwise, it could have been really bad… The last set of 460 felt like 700. My mind kept saying “drop it drop it DROP IT!”. But no, I drove as hard as I ever had with my heels, and got it up. Video shows it went up pretty fast though. Didn’t feel like it. Thankful deload is next week. I couldn’t do another week of this shit. lol

Nice and easy. Dehydrated as fuck, as I still have a pounding headache. Austin started his first week of meet prep to get ready for his first football practice. Don’t think he was really expecting all that volume. hehe

Found a way to buy my plane ticket, hotel, and car rental today for the meet in Arlington. Fucking huge relief off my shoulders. Going into the 2nd month of off season next week, this is going to be a huge motivation booster. 700 pull is mine, and an Elite total. Grip and rip mother fuckers!

After watching my video of last weeks horse shit of a performance, I noticed two things. 1, the bar was sitting in my hands wrong. The weight was more on my fingers, not my wrists. 2, my lats were not engaged. Worked on both tonight. Felt way better. Flared up the stress fracture in my right hand, so I know it’s sitting right now. Also, Josh advised to get a lift off. It’s time to set my ego aside, and start that.
