Is anyone just having BCAAs for their PWO shake as opposed to the traditional whey/carbs shake?

Or a meal.

Well my main question is how many grams of BCAAs?
Enough BCAAs to prevent leucine being the rate limiting factor of protein synthesis. Which is at about 4g. But you cant build muscle on leuine alone. 10g of high quality 2:1:1 BCAAs with 20+ or so grams of whey has you covered.

Sorry i should have clarified this Im enlisting in the marines. My shipping wieght is 186 and im 195ish so im not really trying to build just trying to preserve muscle while cutting.

Start with 5g and go from there.

My reccomendation is not based on bulking. Maximum muscle maintainance requires protein synthesis for repair.

that amount seems 1. fit my budget 2. help decrease DOMS
