BCAA's All They're Cracked Up To Be

Great responses.
Just to add I noticed an interesting bit in Nutrient Timing. It said that scientist use chemical markers to see muscle damage in the urine of athletes. They noticed a lot less muscle damage in endurance athletes after a marathon when amino acids were consumed during the marathon.

Not sure if this helps the common weight lifter. But a good find.

What I think really stinks is that how does anybody really know BCAA’s are doing anything for them?

Well I did not feel a difference I weighed it. . .
I was bulking and tried for the first time BCAAs about 2 years ago.
I took tabs 30-45 min before lifting and liquid BCAAs right before starting.
And more liquid BCAAs before leaving the gym. In 6 weeks I put on 8lbs of muscle . .
I know this was not water weight because my waist got 1.5 in. smaller and my other body parts grew. I now use them during my work outs too . . . would not go to the gym without them

BCAAs in my option are not a snake oil but the real deal
