BBB:Big, Bald and Beautiful

Wow.

Takes one to know one, Pete.

Jack, don’t know if I deserve a wow but I’ll still take it.

I’ve been pleased with front and regular squats. It took a couple years but I’m pain free with back squats and feeling confident with front squats. So for anyone having trouble with either just keep doing them and it will click after awhile.

475 Light, a couple of reps left in the tank ? Damn, that’s all I can say is damn, well done!

impressive front squats. that shit just kills me

show off.

and then call’n it easy.

bastard.

Squats are just feeling great right now. Deads and bench suck. One out of three ain’t bad.

Thanks Scott.
Question for you. Last deadlifting workout I really tried to sit back into the lift, all the weight on my heels. I felt like I was going to fall backwards. I think I would have if I hadn’t been holding the bar. Is this correct form? Should I feel like I’m falling backwards? I also tried to do all the other stuff:arched low bach, rounded upper, chest up.

Semi-sumo. My hips ache if I spread my feet to wide.

some would say to sit back some for sumo but i don’t (anymore). i do, to some degree, on conventional but not at all on sumo (anymore). i find that if i really force my knees out, much like in a squat and pull straight up, i feel more comfortable and am stronger. i’ve been starting my lift with the weight on the outsides of my feet. this automatically forces my knees out. also, if find that turning my feet out some, not a lot helps to get the hips through better.

if you’ve watched any of my more recent sumo dead vids, you can see that i basically pull straight up on the bar and really force the knees out.

still attempting to perfect an inperfect lift (for me).

Frikkin good sqauttin there man.

Something I am going to aspire to.

Scott, thanks. I’ll try pushing the knees out. I’ll check out your videos when I get home. They get blocked here at work.

Thanks Rick. Your level of fitness is something I’m aspiring to.

    2a. front squat 245 5x5

Squats all were light. I left a couple in the tank with 475. I feel comfortable with front squats.[/quote]

That’s a hell of a squat. How big are you?

Thanks. That’s the answer I was looking for. Lots of food for thought.

We have the same inseam but I’m two inches taller. That is where the similarities end cause those are some whoop ass squats.
