Basic Powerlifting Routine?

Thanks all for the replies.

I suppose one of the things I was curious about is that I saw a PL making a PR of something like 600 pounds. I was wondering, does that mean that this person would workout with, say 585 for a set of 3 - something to that effect. Another example is there is a post in this forum (I believe) where a guy is squatting 835 pounds (IIRC). Since that was a PR for the guy, I doubt that was a workout set, but would I assume he’d be working out in the 700 lb range?
Eric Lilliebridge (835 squat guy) details his training on Paul Carter’s blog:

Part 2:

It’s a good read.
His routine at the end of the 2nd part looks good, is this based off any known programs? Has some similarities to westside but maybe better for raw lifting. I kind of want to give a program a try where you alternate squat/DL weeks.

I was checking out an old training log from when I first start trying to improve the big 3 (instead doing stupid shit for football). It looked exactly like this:

Monday: Squat- 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, 1
Wednesday: Bench- 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, 1
Friday: Deadlift- 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, 1

Took every 4th week off and pushed the weights up every workout.

My bench and dead saw a little improvement but my squat went through the roof. This is about as basic as it gets.

same dude… im still looking for a powerlifting routine too. i dont know enough about powerlifting to set up my own program and i dont know anybody who would set one up for me, so im kinda fucked for right now until i get out of high school and stop playing football.

but right now im tryin to balance between powerlifting and football. StormTheBeach suggested that i do 5/3/1 for football so im definitely gonna do that next year.
