Except that I have perhaps grown more tolerant of those that don’t agree with my opinion or my idea of how they should act. This in no way is an indication that I may believe they could be right (I still am) but I am certainly more tolerant of their existence and like a sweaty groin, burrito induced toilet time and Pauly Shore I figure it’s easier to tolerate it at the lowest level and not give it any more weight then it merits.

I would have thought that “T-Men” would be above all the hand-wringing in the kitchen this seems to have caused.

The folks that got banned, or whatever happened to them joined the same day they started posting their drivel. They hijacked a thread, were called out for it, got their posts deleted, and we have not heard a word from them since.

I don’t care about Lyle, I am sure he is a nice enough guy. But It’s like having the Brewers win the World Series. Good for them, but I don’t give a shit.
What I do give a shit about is respect. There is a time and a place for everything. This thread should have been where the pro-Lyle faction sacrificed their burnt offereings. But they didn’t they decidied the place to do that was during a discussion about TC’s interview with a life-long gear user. Lyle was only mentioned on passing during the discussion - not even a fly on the wall in TC’s article.
That’s my beef. Well that and ignorant people passing judgement on a lifestyle they know absolutely nothing about - but that’s a different thread.

From memory, a brief summary of the whole bullshit:
Lyle accused TC of faking the interview
Grey and a troll named “contac” accused attacked Lyle personally about him being an asshole and that his false reviews on amazon.
Various regulars from other forums jumped in and defended Lyle. Trolling started, but not serious.
This is when the SL thread got hijacked.
Grey then goes to create a Lyle bashing thread.
Lyle’s forum regulars continue to debate with Grey and the contac character. Grey posted posts from other forums and accused Wufwugy of trolling.
Trolling begins: T-man-unit and Ra!njack.
Everyone that’s came from Lyle’s board gets banned (including non-trolls) and debate dies down
As you can see there were three party involved:
Grey and a troll called contac attacking Lyle and making rather offensive statements
Lyle’s forum members who disagreed with Grey and hijacked the SL thread
Trolls from Lyle’s forum
