Bas Rutten "Body Action System" Initial Impressions

@T3hPwnisher

Thanks for the update. I’ve never seen a used BAS for sale, so I guess that tells me people keep them.

I understand heavy bags are visceral but seem like a tool for serious hitters. Never gonna be me. Just looking something easy on the hands to work on combos and throwing smoke till I can drag someone into the water.

Thanks again. From what I can see, basic model seems the ticket.

I ended up getting the extra set of pads to work some low kick drills, but for the purposes you’re bringing up, the basic answers the mail very well.

Long term impression: +2 years on still love it. Still a favorite piece of equipment. Still worth the space.

BJJ hobbyist, typically allocate 2-3 days/week to skills usually at least weekly with BAS.

After meeting/friending a legit boxer through work, I have learned and trained, and while still a hobbyist….my striking is WORLDS BETTER. It absolutely answered the mail.

Boxer friend knows/likes BAS, but still likes heavy bags for old school developing power. Boxer says BAS is like hitting pads. I work with my hands as a repairman and I like the BAS because wIth light gardening or MMA gloves I can thrown any workout and not hurt my typically beat up hands.

First pic from @T3hPwnisher shows BAS positioned on an inside corner. Looked like It needed a lot of room and that was a concern; but, if you place BAS on an outside corner, it takes up almost no space. Still it’s easy to move, and we move it around constantly.

Footwork, combos, timers, drills, or just walking by and throwing pushy superhero punches…it’s a great piece of equipment.
