Baltimore Burning

I’d be taking my insurance money, and opening up somewhere near Phoenix or in Montana or some shit.

I’d be out. Fuck that. I wouldn’t re-open, rebuild, nothing, nada, zilch.

Seriously, I’m not about to live and take the risks of business ownership near groups of people that would burn my shit down for having nothing to do with the situation.

If I was CVS, I wouldn’t reopen a god damn thing. Let WalGreens get burnt down… I’ve got other stores to run.

100% agree.

I agree too…but of course we’re talking about a group of people who say they live is so-called “food deserts.” Now they’ll have a “medication desert” to complain about as well.

This should have be considered prior to burning the fucking joint down, and pundit upon pundit claiming that “riots” and wanton destruction of uninvolved third parties was “justified”.

I know that the vast majority didn’t want to burn the place down, and the vast majority is being punished for the actions of the very few… However, actions have consequences.

I would have a serious axe to grind with that stupid ass Mayor if I had a business burned down, talking about “giving them space to destroy.”

Fuck her and those who would support such foolishness. I have no problem with protesting in a peaceful way, but this destructive bullshit should have invited fire hoses and tear gas.

You’re not seeing the big picture. If the people aren’t allowed to destroy parts of their own neighborhood, and get the pent-up rage out of their systems once in a while, they might burn down something important, like the mayor’s house.

If the mayor doesn’t protect business, then the city crumbles, with no jobs or tax revenue, and they burn down the mayor’s house anyway.

LOL

Big Brother was watching.

From the article:
The planes used infrared technology to monitor movements of people in the vicinity, the official said.

The exact reach of the infrared technology is not clear. Civil libertarians have long warned that the ability to track the movements of individuals ? even if their names are not initially known ? can allow authorities to identify people, intruding on personal privacy and chilling the constitutionally guaranteed freedom of association.

?We have the right to demand to know what?s happening,? said Jennifer Lynch, a senior staff attorney with the Electronic Frontier Foundation, a civil liberties group based in San Francisco. ?Whether the government will respond to that, that?s the question.?

So I guess the new precedent now is that ANYONE who is protesting the government (even LOCAL government) is considered a “domestic terrorist”… And they can use the might of the three letter agencies against them.

It’s all in the public interest, of course - move along, nothing to see here…

I said they were flying drones over Baltimore a few pages back, and was promptly called a crazy person by leftest defenders on here. Turns out, they are flying planes over the city to monitor what’s going on… go figure.

“(Reuters) - The Baltimore police investigation into the death of a black man from injuries sustained in police custody fails to support some charges filed by the city prosecutor, CNN reported on Thursday.”

Ya I think so too.

10 people were shot Thursday. 3 dead.

Will we see outrage?

That quote was taken out of context. What she was saying in a nutshell was that she was giving the protests and protesters the space to express their anger and it inadvertently ended up giving ‘the thugs’ space to destroy. She was admitting it was a mistake. I do think she made a calculated error, but she was not intending to give violent assholes room to be violent.
It was a case of unintended consequences. She was trying to be too nice to the protesters and it turned out to be be a grievous error, but I do not believe it was intentional at all.

What a twist!

There is no alternate meaning to that quote. Giving someone space to destroy means just that.

I remember a story about the Baltimore jails. Weren’t the guards having sex with the inmates? There were like a bunch of female guards that were pregnant with gang members’ babies.

Lol. What a freaking zoo.

I understand there are many issues throughout the country…contraband smuggling; fraternizing; predatory behavior; etc.

Here it is:

Four guards impregnanted by same inmate, Tavon White. One female guard had “Tavon” tattooed on her wrist, while the other had “Tavon” tattooed on her NECK.

Seemed like a difficult case to crack.
