This sounds like me. Add in “uncoordinated” in there too though.
Oh yeah, me too!
Amazingly as a mid-30s I feel that I’m much more coordinated too, can catch+throw better, for example. Or maybe that’s just by comparison with my bunch of little kids!
I’m massively uncoordinated with external sources, like footballs or whatever, but I’m pretty surefooted and almost never clumsy. It’s It’s weird mix.
Being athletic early in life helps with the coordination side of things. But also some people probably play sport during youth because they are coordinated. Tough to say. Fortunately lifting seems forgiving in this respect.
I would say I was active as a kid. I’m of the generation who moan on Facebook that “back in my day, you’d go out to play in the morning and not come back until you got called in for dinner”, so it wasn’t through lack of participation.
That wasn’t directed at you or anyone else in particular, just my experience. There’s definitely a difference between kids who get outside and those who sit inside all day playing video games. Thankfully, I barely missed being part of the generation whose entire youth was/is invaded by technology.
I was talking about playing higher level sport during adolescence versus not, which I feel differs from simply going outside and playing. Not an elitist thing by any means; I think play is essential, and what you describe is definitely something I did as well.
That is one of the reasons lifting appealed to me.

This always sucks. Starting Coffinworm anchor tomorrow. I’m glad I’ll have PR sets now.
I’m already slightly below the weight at which I started the T-ransformation challenge. Not exactly how I planned for this to go, but I’m still going to continue the deficit. I lost quicker than planned the next couple of weeks, so I’m going to increase intake and take things more slowly.
I’m Hesitant to ask, but Why are you cutting? Seems like you have been hitting PRs across the board. Why interrupt that?
I’m not sure I’d really call it “cutting” at this point because when I go all in on losing bodyfat, it’s usually too miserable a phase to accomodate the amount of work I am currently doing.
I actually haven’t gained weight these past couple months anyway. I didn’t find it necessary to manage those PRs; I was barely maintaining my weight if not in a slight deficit. Gaining weight probably would have moved things in the direction I wanted on pressing, but otherwise I’m content with what I’ve achieved lately. Also, in the near future I want to do something higher volume that warrants putting on bodyweight, so I’d like to be somewhat leaner going into that.
I don’t think I’ve posted any photos since starting the challenge
The first two were taken today, the last a couple days ago. Not that big of a difference since January but not surprising or unexpected since I haven’t focused on hypertrophy in awhile
Best woman traps ive seen so far! keep up the good work!
About the post about the guy who cycled on the sand … . . sorry cant remember who said it now but
yea he may have only been a small % slower while relaxing , BUT if he hadnt have put in all those hard grinds for weeks beforehand , his relaxing cycle would have been alot slower im sure!!

I don’t remember the last time I’ve lifted on a Friday. Need to shift days next week. It’s not unlikely that I had another rep in me on the top set, especially because my second rep looked a lot faster than it felt. I’ll go for the triple next week. I’ll confess I am a little cautious with the SSB.
Good work as always!!
Wait… what??
Did 800m, took the train toward home, then 800m after I got off the train
Awesome work. As always.
Thanks, you’re definitely setting a good example.
Sauats looking much improved. Not sure why but the ssb seems to be a good fit for you.

Thanks! I’m not sure why the SSB feels more “right” to me. I’m also the weirdo who “likes” front squats. But I also think changing how I think about squats since, like, September or so has also helped.
