Three-mile run 23:46
I felt like I ran a lot faster than I did in reality. Oh well. I blame the weather and the fact that I have only consumed a protein shake so far today.

Hmm. That sucks you rolled your ankle again!! Alternating days of stiff, supportive hiking boots with relatively firm-soled trail runners or low-cut hikers with stoffer soles has done wonders for my ankles. Just an idea, because rolling ankles frequently is no bueno.
It’s already a lot better and more or less back to how it felt before the hike on Sunday. I was wore supportive hiking-specific shoes on Sunday, and I wore trail runners when I hiked Old Rag, so… ![]()

I felt a little less lethargic while lifting than last week, but the hill sprints were tough. I am glad I pushed for a sixth round. Nothing that I should carry my sandbag again soon. I will probably take this weekend off though. It’s nice to do a lot of training during the week and to be productive in other ways on the weekend. I’m debating whether or not to weigh myself again soon but am leaning toward not.
A wise choice.

Having not done loaded carries in a while bothered me enough to not take a rest day today.
Edit: Also went for a 20-minute run. I simultaneously have no energy and all of it.

Surprisingly good lift today considering the circumstances. Hoping to reach 12 pullups in one set very soon. I am physically and mentally tired, and as a result my eye has been twitching for several days…
This is seriously impressive.
I hope you are a very confident and self-assured person.
You should be.
That includes the rest periods in between carries!
You’re very kind! I appreciate the words. I have my ups and downs. I hope that you and your family are doing well.

I filmed squats for the first time in a while.
SSB looks fun… I don’t think I’ve ever seen one IRL.
Are you bracing down hard into your belt before each rep? Not being critical, just that when you breathe it kinda looks like you’re able to take a bigger belly breath than what you end up taking right before the descent. Maybe nothing though.
I could probably brace a little bit harder than I did in the video. I’ll try to film from a better angle next week

My entire body aches, and it’s way too warm today. Also exercising my eye muscles a lot as I scavenge through way too many laptop reviews as I decide between a new MBP or MBA…
Love my pro. It is a 2013 and running like a champ. It’s still light, but solid enough that I can toss it around. I am not gentle on my gear.
I’m typing this on my 2015 MBP. ![]()
I go back and forth every hour on this. In reality I should just be glad that my advisor is buying me a new computer, and neither is a bad choice. ![]()
You understand completely then! That is a nice setup! They run on the same chip now, those new ones look amazing. Let me know what you think of whichever one you pick! Mine will stop being supported likely sooner than later.
