Felt like doing something rather than nothing while waiting for something to finish at work. Ran a 7:32 mile – better than nothing. Started it lazily because I’m sore and tired from yesterday, but at the halfway point I decided to go for a negative split. Sneaking in these extra tiny runs should help with the 400m base methinks.

Not a great session. My sleep was awesome the past couple nights, and I’ve felt good – better than my previous bench session. I’m surprised I wasn’t able to improve on my last performance. But it’s fine because bench isn’t a priority right now. Pullups aren’t going well lately either.
I should squeeze in a track workout later today because I won’t have time tomorrow…

I loaf around in my apartment while I do these, before I go downstairs to do the main lift of the day. Lately I can’t manage as many reps, so I’m doing more sets. Overall they feel heavier than they should.
Decided to immediately go to the track because I know I won’t want to do it later.

I don’t think I’ve ever tried front squatting 100 for reps, but even if I did, this would still be a huge PR. I haven’t felt this happy about a set of squats in, like, ever. The bar felt so light that I started to wonder if I misloaded.

I think my neighbors have been feeding it. I am much more of a dog person and occasionally allergic to cats. Cats have grown on me in college when I’ve lived with some decent ones, but I’m not sure it would be enough to take one in. A lot of people say I should though ![]()

This was a decent pace for me and didn’t feel like a struggle. Late evening after a thunderstorm and teaching my first recitation of the semester, so it was good to blow off some steam.
I really love cats and would gladly have one if not for the fact that I like to have my doors and windows open at all times, and I would really want to have just an indoor cat. Not only do I dislike the thought of it running around in the big dangerous world (due to various childhood trauma), but people in my condo complex are always bitching and moaning about how some random cat made a pooh pooh somewhere.
