Nice work bro!
Kind of a weird day. In some ways I feel good about it, and in others… I suck!
First things first: Squat. The lift I hate the most.
I have a suit that was given to me so I thought Id try it. Ive never worn one before. It turns out that its too small. I couldnt pull the straps up. Well I could have, but it would have thrown my grove off. So I used it with the straps down.
10 x 135, 8 x 225, 6 x 300, 5 x 335.
I asked JimmyT if my depth was good and he said I was right at parallel, just needed a little more to be safe.
So I feel good about that, I just wish I could put some real weight on the bar.
Deads
Long ago in a time far far away, this used to be a good lift for me. Since my back injury… . Any way several months ago I pulled 405 for a single. I hadnt pulled for a while, couple months ago I try to pull: 315 for 3 is all I had. So we thought I should try something new - Sumo.
10 x 135, 8 x 225, 5 x 315 - EASY. Im really not sure how much I had but it was easy.
Rack Pulls/Shrugs
8 x 315, 5 x 405, 5 x 455.
Hit the pool. I havent been in a pool for at least ten years.
3 laps breast stroke. 4 laps back stroke. Well it sort a looked like I was swimming.
I was thinking you’re way ahead of me on squats, but then noticed that you had a suit. Yeah, it was all the suit. 335x5? Nice.
Nice rack pulls, too.
Light Chest/Shoulders
Bench
10 bar, 10 x 95, 10 135, 10 x 185, 10 225 paused.
Seated Mil.
12 x 135, 10 x 155, 10 x 175, 8 x 205.
Incline
10 x 135 - shoulder killed me.
Super set Seated mil. machine/plate raises.
Mil.
15 x 100, 15 x 120
Raises
2 x 10 x 45
Flies
1 10 x 35s Shoulder again.
Dips
1 x 17 x BW, 1 x 15 x BW.
Decline Push Ups
1 x 20 x BW+45
Hit the pool.
This Shoulder thing KILLS me. Its like theres no rime or reason. I dont get it.

Couple things on that:
1 I train with one of the best Squatters youll ever meet. JimmyT(and his son Mikey)
are absolutely awesome. That has a way of making you(me)better than you actually are.
2 One of the things Ive learned: If you have a good spot, do walk outs. Put the next level on the bar and just walk it out. Get used to how its feels. Before you know it youll be doing partials with it. Oh yea DONT be afraid to do partials. If youve got a good spot who cares if you dont bottom out in the hole?
And BTW, Im using sissy weight in comparison. I feel like a kid when they have to down load the bar for me.
And Yes the suit did give me another inch on the bottom.
Well, you’re looking strong. It’s a good kick in the rear for me.
I have been doing walkouts at around 450, sometimes 500. I’m also doing partials with them, but nowhere even near parallel, More like 1/4 squats. Still good, though. At that weight, I can really feel the stress on the back!
63 your looking good
you have a good work ethic and a good coach.
hope your wife is ok.

Light day for you today, eh? ; )
What do you think of the reverse grip bench? Keeper? I’ve seen them before, but have never tried them.
And I agree on the decline nose breakers. They completely waste my tris.
Also, as far as the pool goes, I personally prefer diving in and swimming around, but I suppose hitting it is good exercise too. To each his own.
I kinda like it. It really depends on my training partners. I try to go with the flow. I might try that diving and swimming thing… Se How You Are!
Bench
10 x Bar, 10 x 95, 10 x 135, 3 x 225, 3 x 275, 2 x 3 x 335, paused last rep on both sets.
Incline
2 x 5 x 275
At that point I had to leave to take my sister out to lunch for her Bday. Went back.
Close grip
I tried something different, I went reverse grip as well as close
10 x 135, 6 x 185, 6 x 205.
Felt ok.
Triceps extensions
15 x 55, 10 x 75, 5 x 100.
Dont know what the heck youd call it, but I turned around backwards on the pull down machine, and pulled the bar in front of me. Kinda like a tricep pull down.
3 x 8 x 5plates.
Bike 10min.
Sick numbers. Wow.
