I started using Solaray’s DopaBean (Velvet Bean extract) standarized for 15% L-Dopa - which from my research is a Prolactin blocker. We’ll see how it effects by blood levels in a few weeks. What I like about this is that Velvet Bean has been used for centuries and is natural.
B-6 seemed to have no effect on my blood levels after a few weeks of supplementing however there may have been something else that screwed me up - see next paragraph.
I have also been ingesting tons of aspartame in my protein powders and diet sodas and that could have played a big part in the blood levels also. Look up Prolactin and aspartame… I will not be eating anymore of that sh@t ever!

Good post. Aspartame is nasty stuff, indeed. If you have to use a sweetener, make it either honey or xylitol.
What protein drink are you using? I just checked my container of Surge and it doesn’t have aspartame, thank goodness!
Carbonated drinks, including carbonated water, are bad for your digestion (at least, in my case). I drink Kombucha which is naturally fermented and that satisfies my need for “fizzy” drinks.
If you just HAVE to have carbonated colas, there are some alternatives that aren’t nearly as bad as others. There is one called “China Cola” that tastes every bit as good as coke, minus SOME OF the nasty ingredients. Here goes the ingredients:
Filtered Carbonated Water, Raw Cane Sugar, Szechuan Peony Root, Cassia Bark, Malaysian Vanilla, Oils of Lemon, Lime and Orange, Nutmeg, Cloves, Licorice, Cardamon, Caramel Color, Citric and Phosphoric Acid,
Ok, it’s got Licorice, but compared to your run-of-the-mill cola it’s pretty good. You can get it at Whole Foods.
It would be interesting if you eliminated the aspartame and tried the B6. Anyway, it will be nice to see what the results of this L-Dopa supp will do. Let us know. You are eliminating the aspartame, right?
