Skipped the core circuit because my abs are still sore as hell from the 100 hammer strength machine crunches we did yesterday.

Yesterday took more out of me then I thought, pullups went like shit and I did less reps and/or used less weight than last week.

It’s looking good man! A little more of this and you’ll be ripped and ready to go! Looking forward to some finishing progress pictures!

Thanks, there’s a worlds difference between now and 8 weeks ago. I was tempted to take some progress pics the other day but decided not to because it would just take away from the overall “Whao, I looked like shit back then!” factor.

Maybe takes some now and post ‘em at the end of the program, like a before - middle - after sequence. You’e killin’ it man. Good work.

Thanks, there’s only up and up from here man. I still got 3 months to get down to 200, afer that I’ll have to work on getting the front of my body up to par, it hardly looks like I lift when you see me from the front.

Holy! You’re doing a great job man! It’s very obvious you’ve lost a lot of bodyfat!

Two questions if you don’t mind:

  1. Minimal carbs + 1 g of protein/lb of body weight for diet?

  2. Do you ever bench without a spotter? I am gonna do my workouts soon without a spotter and I’m a little worried about getting stuck under the bar lol.

    Thanks,

I’m taking in high protein, high carbs and minimal fat, I’m going by this article for macros:

No spotter for bench unless I’m lifting with someone I know my limits, but if you’re new I suggest you use a spotter

Thanks for the advice! I just really like to push all my movements on those ‘x or more sets’ to 1/2 - 1 rep short of failure and sometimes I overdo it. (5/3/1)

I’m starting Built like a Badass today.

Good luck, are you starting a journal?

[quote]SickDevildog wrote:

Probably not going to start one but definitely keeping a log book for my own reference. I hope to make some good strength gains with this program whilst dropping some fat.

Good luck!!! Keep up the good work!
