Given your definition of the layer system on a different thread (one exercise a session, high% of 1RM, high workout density), I’m interested in a protocol or structure for use when your CNS isn’t entirely up-to-par (using the CNS tap test mentioned previously).
It seems to me that if your CNS is amped up, the system provides ample opportunities for increased volume (increase cluster sets or vary HDL methods). I know you could reduce the clusters and move to a “speed HDL” structure (previously, you mentioned 8 sets of 2 with 30 seconds in between), but what else could you do that would still provide a stimulus for growth/improvement while not overtaxing a strained CNS system?
