Damn, Pangy! You look great! What do you weigh there?

Wow.

I’m here.

Looking good, Puff. As always.

And a better shot of my shoulders from March. Things haven’t changed much. Progress is very slow for me at this point. My muscle-ups were even uglier than Double Duce’s, so I stopped training them before I hurt myself. That video was very fun, BTW.

I’m super pleased with my bench press. I’m not a powerlifter, and hadn’t been able to train Flat BB bench for awhile, but I’m now pressing 125x3. The USAPL CA State Record for my age and weight class is 126.7. Of course, I’d have to press it all paused and official, but I’m still a little bit thrilled!! Bench is the only lift I’m sort of competitive in. So, progress does happen when you’re a little chick and not a noob. I’m still just finding tremendous joy in my lifting.

These threads are really positive. I wish everyone would put up something. Most of us don’t have time to go follow very many logs. I try to check in on the other women, but not many others due to time. This is a good way to encourage each other a bit. I find it very motivating to see all the progress pics, and even videos of people like Steely who are just crazy stronger than me. It’s very different than what I do, but still inspiring.

Well, Spock does the work of at least 5 women sooo…

Yeah, it’s really not a great fit for me. There so few of us, but I’ve looked as some of the other forums and honestly, I get confused by how they are layed out, and very few have very many chicks. That other big website which shall not be named both confuses me and kind of creeps me out.

I think there are about 10 of us still here who log at least semi-regularly, that I know of. Spock, Brutiful, CamBam, Minmaltechno, KPSnap, Christal, Seachel, and less frequently lately - Bron, Strumpet, and Sarah (Oh, my her lifts!!). People kind of come and go, and there’s the occasional sighting by a few other people who drop in. And Emily is still here, but she doesn’t talk lifting. So, yeah. It’s not Enation. Sigh.

Thank you, and back at ya! You have some technically beautiful lifts. One of them should go right here.

She does lift, though, and runs consistently.

Nothing has changed since the last photo I posted somewhere of my shin development, but I am still here. I read lifting, don’t talk it. I’ve said many times that I will happily share running advice because I know how to make measurable gains there, but I seem to lift to maintain rather than build (and yes, I have tried).

Really poor pic from just now, showing nothing but that I am at least not a compete sham. Also that Hockey needs to clean his side of the bed.

We’re off to cut and stack firewood, so maybe I’ll have bigger shoulders to post tomorrow.

I have similar perspective on talking about lifting. I enjoy reading about it, however I don’t really view myself as qualified to talk about anything advanced.

Actually, thinking about it, it would be more accurate to say I don’t talk about it here. People ask me often in real life and I do talk about what I do for exercise and diet, as well as question anyone who is obviously doing good work. I was talking about both lifting and running at a party last night.

I guess women are a little less of an endangered species than I though. Carry on.

I meant to post something training wise. I’m back to running, sitting at 195, arms 17" cold flexed, able to train legs post injury. Training has been sporadic due to travel obligations.

Despite being under 20% bf, with visible abs, due insurance regs, I’m about to get a fat coach. Yehaww

With fit or non-fit people? I try and avoid talking about fitness with non-fit people.

Not too much new to report. Just working on getting stronger. Finally started following a real plan (5/3/1 w/joker sets). Gonna focus on strength for next 6 months.

Always like to show my fat, before pick. And my posing is amazing as ever.[/quote]

Great work!

About women here -

When new women put up a thread in the Figure Athlete or Powerful Women sections they hear crickets, maybe see a lot of views to their question but no replies, so they leave. Many of you guys will help if you see a thread by a woman in the Beginner’s section, but you either never look in the other forums or lurk them but are reluctant to help.

I understand that a lot of people come here to read articles, or they keep a log, and they don’t have the time or inclination to venture out of their logs, but most of the questions that come up are beginner questions that anybody here could answer.

Pay it forward once in awhile. /rant

Also, having women like Dani Shugart writing articles here is a good thing. The numbers of women lifting has increase A LOT in my gym over the past five years. There’s less of a gender divide these days, so having some female contributors makes sense.

I had to laugh about the fat coach comment!! That should be interesting. I wonder what they are going to say to you. By BMI, there are a lot of fatties here.
