Did you stiffen up like waking up after sleeping funky at all?
I took 2 grams of ibuprofen and sprayed the entirety of a menthol based spray on my head and neck. It feels surprisingly good. I do have some tenderness up at the highest attachment of my trap near the middle of the back of my head. But the numbness has subsided
My girl is an NP and was not pumped that I took 1 gram of ibuprofen, 2 grams. Some next level stuff lol - glad it’s feeling better quickly.
Sounds like we did something similar, although I think mine felt more like the sensation of squeezing Styrofoam packing, that odd popping and crunching. Traded the numbness for a complete lack of mobility. Feeling better today though. The frozen tater tots helped quite a bit.
Neck stuff is scary, first time or has it happened before?
First time. Pain shot up thru the crown of my head, couldn’t move head (actually couldn’t, not resisting or avoiding discomfort) for about 3 minutes. A bit scary. Loosened up over time.
Hopefully you can avoid it again in the future, definitely not fun. This is my second go around with it and it’s not as bad as the first time.
Fingers crossed. That same trap had been complaining earlier in the week. I’ve had a pretty silly amount of upper back volume in the last week or so. I’ll back off it a bit and hopefully it can sort itself out

I think I’m finally using my legs. Believe it or not, they help with jerks and push presses.
Maybe it helped that school is back in session and there were lots of Crossfit kids watching me. I mean, I judgementally say kids but we’re the same age…

How have your sleep and diet been lately?
Honestly? Sleep has been below par. Diet had been either fantastic or poor, less middle ground.
Caffeine tolerance/reliance has been pretty massively decreased though. I’m wondering if some fatigue-debt is finally getting paid back.
