Is there any guide on how to train for strongman that would explain what you do or did your kind of training just grew over the years to what it is now?

More this. I trained somewhat similarly when focusing on powerlifitng, but different movements were focused on.

In terms of how it relates to strongman, I try to circuit or superset a lot more often to keep my heart rate up. Also I will rarely if ever go for a max, especially on a bench or a squat. Those will just about never be events in a strongman show.

All’s well that ends well, ha! Reading through your and @littlesleeper ‘s logs is equal parts humbling, motivating, and moderately terrifying (due to cardio/work capacity implementation) gettin’ good work in, and I’m enjoying lurking along.

Not quite a PR, but it wasn’t definitely non-ideal circumstances. 4:30 a.m. and legs smoked from lunges a couple days ago. So strength stuff must be going somewhat positively.

Straps on the long walk, so don’t go getting impressed on me lol

Where the hell are you doing all this walking? you just take the frame outside?

The crossfit gym is in a warehouse bay. I just walk the bar outside and go back and forth on a 100’ concrete lane I marked off. I love having easy outside access, way more space and the colder morning temp helps medleys not feel so bad.
