Thanks I fixed it!!

Started SHOW AND GO Yesterday! Felt pretty good. nothing too hard, although waking up this morning, my ass is super sore and so are my adductors. (yesterday included front squats/speed deadlifts/Pallofs/pushups/rev DB lunges etc etc.

Today is 10*100’s which might come close to killing me ! lol.

Show and Go BABY!

I saw Show n Go come out and was intrigued. It will be very interesting to see how you like it!

Show and go Day 2. Choice of a few things. My co workers went with 10 * 100s . Freaking nuts. I havnt run sprints in…wait never…let alone run for longer then 15 min. So vibrams and all we went out to the track this morning in about 50 degree weather and did them. I dropped about 17 F bombs and finished it up with my fav yoga pose…dead turtle…aka I cant move so Im going to fall on the floor with my legs and arms in the air. lol.

Needless to say I was already sore this morning from day 1 of lifting (just quads, adductors and hammys). By 2 hours post 100’s workout I added hip flexors, feet and calves to the list. Man I havnt been this sore since I started lifting. FML.
Tomorrow is bench day…

Im thinking the difference between me doing my workouts and doing Show and go is tht now I am forced to count reps…aka no cheating…and doing things I hate to do…lunges sprints.
Anyway Team show and go hits the gym again at 10am tomorrow.

Day 3…HOLY SHIT BALLS…Still soooooooooooooooo sore. Icing my Anterior tibialis muscle as i type this…and my ankles, and calves. Running sucks BTW. Why do people run? STUPID PEOPLE RUN!!!

Anyway, today was bench day. 4 sets of 90 for 3 reps each. pull ups. neutral grip incline bench rows, ER laying DB shoulder things, Ab roller, stretching, and Planks.

Tomorrow is more running. WTF.

Ok, could barely walk let alone run today. Im an idiot and gave myself plantar fascitis and turf toe from sprinting on the track in my vibrams…FML. Down side to being an athletic trainer you know you fucked yourself up, you know exactly how you did it and you also know that you didnt listen to expert advice which is the reason your are in pain and cant train.

did bike for 2o min. Deadlift day tomorrow plus some other fun stuff.

Day 5…Foot is still killin me. Walking with a limp…ugh some stim/ultrasound and stretching. Hoping to heel by monday.
Did deadlfting day 5. although deadlifting with pain in your medial foot makes you realize how important the balls of your foot are when deadlifting…depressing. Also did some glut ham stuff, pullups, alt db bench.

weekend off. hope to be good as new by day 6!

PS: posterior shoulder dimples are not cute…ugh

Kinda mixing it up per’ a friends instruction… So I do 5/3/1 lift, with 30 second cardio between each set.

I am not sure I understand the rationale behind this. It is my understanding that the point of 5/3/1 is to make steady but sustainable gains by going all out on the last set and setting a new PR each workout. I seems that the cardio between sets would undermine this outcome at worst and is useless at best.

From what I’ve read, I have to agree that doing cardio between sets on this program defeats the purpose of going for rep PRs.

Nice pics. You look lean for sure.

I know the purpose…my ex (the strength coach that was helping me with my workouts) suggested it to keep my heart rate up. Since I was looking to lose body fat as well at the time. I dont do that workout anymore.

WHAT BODYFAT???!!

Ps, I’m 5’9" ish too…but not as slender as you.

nice shoulders

Well a year and a half ago I had plenty of body fat to loose. Now im trying to maintain and build muscle. Also build a better butt  (arn’t we all )

Thanks

But you were hardly chunky… 155 on my frame would look slender as hell and is sorta my goal…getting there 10lbs at a time basically…
. I could never maintain 130 or whatever it is you weigh now, nor have I weighed that since 8th grade? lol

hey lady! you look pretty lean to me…and you’re chasing that bench like me too sigh

go for whatever goal you want…but i think though the cardio might not be good while 5/3/1’in it if your goal is to get some strength gains. that seem like a more metabolic workout then a strength gaining one but god knows i’m no expert! i just do whatever makes me feel good for the most part
