Athletes/Celebs You've Met

I met about a third of the 1994 Vancouver Canucks when I was 5, got signatures on a tiny canucks jersey that I was wearing at the time. I’ve met Brendan Morrison a couple of times, the director of “Capote” (I think thats the movie) and Brendan Sonne (upcoming NHL star, U-18 MVP, Clagary Hitmen) who goes to my school.

Pierce Brosnan, Eric Clapton, Ozzy…All were very cool and low key, Brosnan in particular was very down to earth…
Yeah! Pierce Brosnan, I met him at an NBA game, he was sitting next to my brother and I noticed him first, and then I stared at him like an idiot and exclaimed “James Bond!!” and he started chuckling. I ordered cotton candy to see if he would have to hand it to me but my brother stood up and got it for me. Ruined my life.

Also, my sister was shopping at Hugo Boss and got an 80% discount because they mistaked her for Steve Nash’s wife, and our last name is Nash too-it was pretty funny-they had Steve Nash, Dallas Mavericks on the reciept for some reason and she has kept it in her stupid scrapbook

Bob Uecker.

He’s a tool.
Tried to avoid the fans, but I spotted him standing next to the team bus. Tried to talk to him, but got the “I’ll give you an autograph if you’ll leave” treatment.
I’ve meet Uecker a few times. He’s cool but kind of stand-off-ish. I guess most people would be when they have a stalker after them for the last decade or so.

hmmm… lets see…

Ted Nugent - dude is a riot.
Jennifer Batten - amazing guitarist
Joe Satriani - amazing guitarist
Chuck Norris - nice guy, very short.
James Earl Jones - Quiet guy
Richard Karn (Al Borland from Home Improvement) - very nice guy.
Trish Stratus - smoking hot.
Elvis Stoiko - short dude.
John Larroquette - was quite drunk.

more, but cant remember right now… its late.

This got me thinking, there has to be a celeb or two on this website. I mean, there are over 100k members here, we have to have some famous people among us.
Cant say I dont blame them for coming forward.

Satch and Trish… oh that’s it, we’re fighting. I’m way jealous, please don’t tell me you have anything from Satch like a guitar pick, autograph or something.

And Trish… did you cop a feel with a hug or anything? I copped a feel from Kelly Monaco(Playboy chic, Dancing with the stars) at Club LeVela in Panama City. I was at the bar and she came up next to me an ordered a drink, I immediately went in for the kill… I recognized her immediately(regular subscription to Playboy), so I went for the hug and handshake meet and greet just to cop a feel.

I had the shirt off and was feeling confident that day. I struck out, but she had to play hostess ya know… otherwise I would have had her(WINK)… just kidding. Hot little chic.

Well, looks like you finally caught me…

I’m Rick James…

Bitch!

B.

Ray Sefo, Both Nogueiras, Bustamante, Coleman, Baroni, Peter Aerts,Lebanner, Yamamoto Kid, Ken Shamrock, Don Frye, nearly everybody from WWE(had to translate when they were at the gym).

Ray Sefo, both Nogueiras, Bustamante, Don Frye and Yamamoto Kid were really nice guys. Coleman was intense but alright.

Motley Crue- sort of- was backstage with my girlfriend who’s a journalist and she was there interviewing them, I had a media pass

David Schramm- Roy Biggins, from TV show Wings, worked with him when he was a guest on another T.V. show- really down to earth and friendly

Sean William Scott- nice guy, friendly-easily mingled with the locals- he struck up a conversation with me

Gunter Schlierkamp- 100 times handsomer in real life than in magazines. Looks younger, more pretty boy looking in the face in person. Really sweet.

Victor Martinez- VERY handsome in person. Very friendly and outgoing.

Beth Horn- Tall and statuesque in person (well, in my point of reference at least!)

Duane “Dog” Chapman, Youngblood and crew

I saw Steve Nash at NYHRC in NYC. I would have had no idea who he was if others did not point it out. I’m not a big b-ball fan. He was absolutely ordinary looking and was with an ordinary looking woman. He was doing leg presses. Couldn’t believe he was a (very good) pro ball player

On a class trip when I was in 3rd grade I met the Fonz. All of us were going nuts screaming, “It’s the Fonz!” He stopped short and said, “My name is Henry Winkler, I am not the Fonz.” Such a dick.
There’s a reason why he reacted as he did.

The son of Jewish parents who escaped from Germany before the beginning of World War II, Winkler was born in New York City. He attended the McBurney School and received his bachelor’s degree from Emerson College in 1967. He also received his MFA from the Yale School of Drama in 1970. Winkler earned a doctorate in Hebrew Literature from Emerson College in 1978.

Henry Winkler hates being identified only as the Fonz.

David Bowie. In a rock club in Philly. SUPER COOL!!!

Michael Spinks. Really nice, bigger than i expected.

Mike Tyson, smaller than i expected.

Well, in my opinion he needs to get over that shit…

and say “aaaayyyye” to adoring kids and what-not…

Playing the Fonz is basically the reason he was able to attain all his off camera education anyway.

What does he expect? For people to say “hey kids, there goes Henry Winkler! He’s got a doctorate in Hebrew Literature!” ??

Damn, I need to go to Japan after I graduate. The only famous fighters I’ve met are Ray “Boom Boom” Mancini and Butterbean

Almost forgot. My brother produces Richard Simmons Serious Radio show. My brother is very much NOT gay, but he and Richard are very close (I mean they work together all the time). Anyway, this Christmas my family went to LA to visit my brother. During our trip, my brother took us over to Richard’s house.

My Mom, as most older ladies are, is a big fan. My dad and I were a little less excited. We got there and Richard answered the door. Man, he is EXACTLY how he is on TV, only funnier. The guy should be a comedian.

Richard Simmons has done comedy. This here is gold:

That is awesome! Of course in person he tones down the homo stuff, but he is still freakin’ hilarious. He is also a master motivator. When you talk to him, he’s so positive and enthusiastic about everything, he makes you believe you can do almost anything. He absolutely does not accept negative attitudes, which is why he has been such a huge influence on those who are grossly obese. He told me his biggest frustration is that people make up dumb excuses as to why they are or are not a certain way (my cat died, I’m depressed, I can’t give up fried chicken…). His big message is that fat is not a handicap and he has no problems with telling people that.
