At This Point in 2019, I'm Not Voting at All

Zzz…

is he really your president though? Trump’s nobodies guy, he’s for himself. You don’t get that yet? Seriously? fuck.

that’s what I don’t get about these new type of republicans… just because he has the R next to his name he’s YOUR GUY. If he turned into a straight up dictator crazy fuck like Kim Jong Un would he still be your guy?

That’s what is so worrisome about what is happening in this country.

Lowered taxes. Working on the border. Lowest unemployment in 50 years. Getting out of crappy wars. Conservative judges. Lowest Black and Hispanic unemployment ever. Almost 4 million people lifted off of food stamps. Regulatory relief.

He’s doing more for the Republican agenda than either Bush did. Plus, he’s showing mainstream Republicans like Lindsey Graham that it’s OK to fight back.
He’s far from perfect for sure, but a lot better than any of the Dem alternatives.

Lowered taxes I’ll give you. And conservative justices. However low unemployment both general and of Hispanic/AA demographics is a function of the market which was already improving before he got into office. Making a case that it’s due to “his” actions is shaky at best and pretty much not feasible in my mind.

Getting out of crappy wars hasn’t happened and in reality has been an absolute clusterfuck. He’s fucked up our foreign policy at every turn, and I never thought I’d say this but his foreign policy missteps have been more numerous and more damaging to American diplomatic prestige and reputation than Obama’s. Including the famous “apology tour” and red line debacles. He’s thrown our diplomatic corps into disarray, politically retaliated against career diplomats just because he doesn’t like them, and generally been a complete sodding disaster in FP.

“Regulatory relief” is debatable for most people and the statement about food stamps really isn’t his doing.

His tax plan benefited me
But yea… Reeeeeeeeeee

@marine77 @doogie

Surely, you guys don’t think the economy is all his doing do you? I mean, come on. There’s no need to play politics in here, we aren’t on national television debating. We can speak honestly.

Trump has done a lot of things that can actually screw up this great economy, like royally, going forward. That he has an actual direct hand in.

The border is still a mess, immigration policy, still a mess. He hasn’t got out of any wars and he’s actually doing things to harm the Middle East progress.

You never feel the true effects of a president until years later. All this good stuff was from Obama carryover.

It’s like blaming Obama for the financial crises that was already head on when he took office… I don’t believe you guys are that fucking stupid not to be able to know that.

Like I said we can talk openly here, there’s no need to be disingenuous .

And Marine how much did his tax break really benefit you? Like, 2 grand? Come on dude.

What?

Sending troops to Iraq and Saudi Arabia is getting us into non crappy wars?

Meaningless if the majority of people are behind an issue.

And you are no longer getting foodstamps. MAGA!!!

Where he lives that will buy a house and you’ll still have enough left over for meth.

Wow.

If there ever was truly a person born with a Silver Spoon in his mouth, it would be Trump; and he continues to “prosper” despite his actions.

When someone spouts off all of his “accomplishments” related to the economy; I simply state like has been the case throughout the mans whole Life, he tends to always fall at the “right place at the right time”…and I will give him credit for exploiting his good fortune when it does.

There are then two things I ask my more Conservative friends:

  1. Does President Obama get any credit for he and his administration navigating us and the World through the worst recession and financial crisis since the Great Depression…and one that he had to begin to act on in many ways even before his inauguration? (God help us if this was Trump, who can’t even keep an Administration together during good times).

  2. What series of policy initiatives did Trump actually sit down, devise, and articulate that can account for the current economy?

None. This is an economy that was beginning it’s rebound in the last few months of President Obama’s Term. And in true Trump fashion; (like the rest of his Life); he milks it for all it’s worth, crediting himself, and him alone, for all of our good fortune.

Let’s see where it goes over Trump’s next term…then we can talk.

I actually hope for all American’s things continue to hum along, I really do,

One other thing while I am venting…and this is about Trump’s “loyalty”.

Are you kidding me? Where did that come from?

Trump will throw anything and anyone under the bus as soon as they cross him.

Sorry, @phatphit:

Back to your original question and topic.

I will be voting, but concede that the choices we will most likely end up with are beyond disappointing.

(Maybe consider rolling some dice?)

I’ve said it once I’ll say it a thousand times … write in Calvin Coolidge

Hadn’t thought about that, @polo77j

I was thinking more along the lines of maybe Lincoln or Truman?

(Along with considering the dice-roll!)

Why do you write “President Obama” and “Trump?”

Denial.

Lol… You’re such a petulant douche. My property values alone are worth more than you’ll make in a lifetime. Crybaby ass bitch

Are you saying you have indoor plumbing?

It represents my tiny bit of insignificant protest directed at Trump and the Trumpublicans who directed their vitriol at President Obama of eight-plus years; continue to do so; and give a pass to Trump for things that they would have hung President Obama for.

That’s why.

how do you accumulate these properties? What do you do for a living that affords you this investment income?
