Assessment of Blood Work

Hey party people:

I haven’t had blood work done in quite a few years, so I recently had it drawn and wanted to see if I can get some help understanding it as I am just in the process of learning about how to read all this stuff as well.

Looks like I have some type of androgen issue but my levels are all over the place. Symptom wise I have some really strange shit going on but I also don’t know if there is a correlation to being exposed to pesticides for 8 months straight (long fucking story). Ultimately I feel normal to less than ideal. I went through a lot of symptoms previously (possibly due to pesticides but I have to run toxicology to determine that for a fact, work in progress) and things were really bad for a while but recently have gotten better but still looking at these labs my conclusion was: da faq is going on!?
Edits:

-age = 29
-height = 6ft
-waist = 32â??
-weight = 190
-describe body and facial hair = hairy: chest, face, legs, none on back, or upper arms/ shoulders.
-describe where you carry fat and how changed: umbilical/ iliac crest (especially lower back), face, thighs
-health conditions, symptoms [history]: appendicitis, (posted a long time ago about having high E problems, was suggested to take arimidex,) ended up developing a varricocle (L) and a spermatocele (R)
-Rx and OTC drugs, any hair loss drugs or prostate drugs ever
– real dangers! see this http://propeciahelp.com/overvi… : no never

-describe diet [some create substantial damage with starvation diets]: very healthy, pretty much 80/20 paleo, recently been going more low carb, trying to support liver and remove estrogens through high veggies, low fruit (like hardly ever) a lot of meats, bunch of fats.
-describe training [some ruin there hormones by over training] : just lifting/ oly lifting. I donâ??t really do high intensity for the better part of a year since fully getting rocked by suspected pesticides.
-testes ache, ever, with a fever? Only to the touch and after I took Alpha Male (10 months ago or more)
-how have morning wood and nocturnal erections changed: mostly hard all night and into the morning, very interested in sex when the suns out, not so much at the end of the day.
No prohormones or steroid use. (prohormone in the past, when I was 22, causing elevated estrogen.)

My Dr. was super concerned why I was asking for these tests (nothing I havenâ??t encountered before) and didnâ??t want to do them. She straight said, â??I donâ??t know what these are.â?? And went and ordered tests she had seen despite me suggesting further testing. I donâ??t have health insurance so this is through my university. Labs were done by quest.
I do drink. Used to be very heavy (5-9 months ago) since then I have done several positive things for my liver (past 3 months).
Felt that I was having thyroid symptoms (I was 9 out of 10 symptoms on certain Q&As) started taking ThyroMetab (Poliquin) most symptoms went away (no cold hands, no sluggishness etc.) The only major symptom left was hair loss. When I showered or ran a brush through my hair there was a LOT coming off. Way more than normal. Enough to think I would be bald, completely, by the end of the week. I have since changed shampoos and stopped using gels etc and it mostly has seem to have stopped falling out.
A lot of my concern and desire to do blood work was because of the whole pesticide incident(s). I experienced a variety of symptoms for months including: Dizziness/Nausea/Lethargy/Weakness/achiness - entire body/Sore throat/Uvulitis/Hair loss/Headaches/migraines/Foggy head/inability to think clearly/Blurry vision/itchy, dry eyes/Shortness of breath/EXTREME Exhaustion. I have felt like I have had to make an extreme come back so in doing so I went back to basics and had to rebuild my life.
Ill start morning temps tomorrow.

Any ideas? Thank you

You need to add a lot more info. Read the sticky “advice for new guys” sticky in the forum. You are missing a lot of vital information.

At first glance your labs actually look good, not exactly sure what “TSH W/REFLEX TO FT4” test does, although if it’s basically a TSH test then your value is slightly on the low end. Your liver markers are slightly high AST and ALT. Do you drink and/or take any medications?

Your Lymph % is high which could indicate some type of infection (Chronic?)

Your E2 (Estradiol) is high, based on a lot of people’s success, it is better to have this closer to 22. You are producing a TON of T which is probably why E2 is high. Are you on any prohormones or medications at the moment (trt?).

Please read the “Advice for new guys” sticky and provide more detailed information. (you also should read the thyroid sticky)

I couldn’t find the Q&A (new guy advice etc), I will look there and post answers after work. Thank you!

The top articles on the forum are “stuck” there and are called stickies. Please read the advice for new guys sticky.

You don’t seem to have a lack of androgens. Are you taking anything to alter your levels?

RBC 4.8 4.7-6.1 M/ul

This seems low and hematocrit seems low given your T levels.
That can be from a slight GI bleed, get an occult blood test.
Any food sensitivities or digestive issues?

TSH should be near 1.0, the ranges are bogus.
Pesticides might have loaded you up with bromines.
Check your body temperature when you wake up. If near 97.7 or higher, that is good. Also check that you hit 98.6 during the mid afternoon. If body temperatures are low, read the thyroid basics sticky and look at iodine deficiency issues. Iodine replenishment can also flush bromines out of your body.

We need more info about you such as weight, waist, height, AGE, body fat distributions and changes relative to time lines how you feel and pesticide exposure.

You do not have labs for both LH and FSH?

necessary information added above. Please let me know what other information is needed. Thank you

Going to be speaking about this with a Dr. soon, any in directions in particular I should be looking towards?

It is extremely important that you take your morning temps and afternoon temps. I suggest doing this before you see your doctor. If your temps are low, I would go into your appointment looking for more extensive thyroid labs (FT3,FT4, RT3 etc)

Ok, will do. As far as I know I have no real low thyroid symptoms (looking at different tests). Used to, but not any more.
I usually wake around 8am and workout around 10am. What time should afternoon temps be taken in regards to post workout?

So far morning temps were: 96.4 (AM) 97.8 (Noon) (although for the noon temp I was outside and talking teaching class).

I looked through the thyroid sticky, a lot of my thyroid symptoms have gone away or greatly reduced so I am on the fence about it, though the morning temp was kind of shocking. I also think there would be some greater tell-tales in the blood if my HPA axis was off, but if symptoms are not gone then that’s still a problem.

Have you been reading the stickies? I can tell if you really read my post of 10/16

I did but just in case Ill restate my answers because Im not that good at editing my previous posts (its not working right for me for some reason)

You don’t seem to have a lack of androgens. Are you taking anything to alter your levels?
— No, not taking anything at all to alter levels.

RBC 4.8 4.7-6.1 M/ul

This seems low and hematocrit seems low given your T levels.
---- I totally agree. WBC’s and RBC’s both seem low and with high Lymph#s and low Neu#s it seems very weird, but I also “feel” this way.
That can be from a slight GI bleed, get an occult blood test.
— will look into this.
Any food sensitivities or digestive issues?
---- not that I know of. Maybe a litter dairy. MAG-10/plazma was leaving me with clogged ears. Digestion seems to be working pretty well but lower back fat is hard for me to lose.

TSH should be near 1.0, the ranges are bogus.
— Quest Diagnostics, so no idea why they ranged it like that
Pesticides might have loaded you up with bromines.
— Will do research.

---- very hard for me to pin point. During 3 major sprayings in my Apt I had to go to the hospital the following day. First visit I was diagnosed with allergies and uvilitis. 2nd and 3rd visit were diagnosed viral and allergy. Exposure was different throughout the 8months to a year. Pesticides were used in my apartment, in my kitchen, bed room, etc. I work from home so I was also exposed more than my girlfriend. Symptoms set in about 2 months after moving into my Apt and several still continue. Moved out in July, had blood work done 2 weeks ago.

You do not have labs for both LH and FSH?
— no. the Dr. literally told me “I don’t know what you want me to run or why you want these labs.” She had no idea and after asking she didn’t want to order any more labs (such as FSH) without me seeing a different doctor.

Please let me know if there is any more info needed and Ill try to clarify. I will post tomorrows temps as well. Thanks!

TSH should be near 1.0, the ranges are bogus.
— Quest Diagnostics, so no idea why they ranged it like that

The issue is that the TSH lab ranges are bogus for all labs, its a real problem compounded by systemic ignorance in the medical community.

Do you know what insecticide[s] were used? Perhaps bromines are not part of that picture. And you might react to the [the] insecticides differently from others.

And as always, one can be looking at the effects of more than one problem.

Yes, here is a piece from the letter I wrote to the pest control company. Basically we have contacted them and asked for help to determine the extent of negative impact in regards to our health due to complete misuse and handling of their products. They are refusing. I have to call several PCC and get specific toxicology done. I wanted basic levels first.

During all three hospital visits (I was sick the whole year but only had to go to the hospital 3 times) all doctors said illness was probably due to exposure. My concern grew to “what does this mean long term.” I have never experienced symptoms like this, as constantly as I did. Anyways here is the letter:

Apartment was treated over 20 times. The treatments ranged in usage of poisons: Cykick/ Cykick CS (Cylfuthrin), Tri Die Dust (Pyrethrin), Phantom (Chlorfenapyr), Avert (Abamectin), Drione (pyrethrins, piperonyl butoxide, technicalamorphous gel) in ranges of .1oz up to 3oz per treatment.

Im trying to make an appointment to speak to a doctor about blood work results and have to get toxicology done. I wanted to post this here to see what others thought so I can figure out some directions to move in regarding overall health. Not really concerned with lipid, metabolic and CBC are concerning. Hormones are alarming. Especially with have a varricocle and spermatocle I wanted to know more with what was going on internally. Now I have a closer picture and just need some direction on where to go.

Cylfuthrin - fluorine, chorline

Pyrethrin - quite safe

Chlorfenapyr - fluorine, chorline

Abamectin - very complex

Piperonyl butoxide - complex, seems safe

No bromine exposure with the above. But bromines are found in bread and some sodas, fire retardants and some medications.

Cylfuthrin and pyrethrin where what I was exposed to most often and developed symptoms from. All treatment sheets say if experiencing flu like symptoms within 48 hours call PCC. I had to do that on a few occasions. Trust me, Orkin assured me everything was safe, yet the products were mishandled: ie sprayed onto my cookware, counter spaces, unventilated rooms while I was in them, etc. Its also meant to cause organisms to die. Dosages wise they tired to reason with me. If it was a single exposure, I wouldn’t be too worried. But exposed over a years time = potentially problematic.

Well we can assume that if you have picked up bromines, its from some other route.

Fish oil is very important to nerve cells and cell wall permeability in general. Suggest that you try that and other EFA’s such as nuts and flax seed meal/oil

I looked over bromines and I already avoid a lot of that stuff so I will have to dig a little deeper to see where possible exposure could have come from.

Would infared saunas be a way to go?

High estrogen in males is related to thyroid so definitely something is going on there.

With EOS being high(er side) allergies of some kind are definitely present.
NEU is low so leaky gut may not be an issue, MONOcytes kind of through that conclusion off as well.

I have to do more investigating but don’t know which way to look…

Spent a while on the phone with a doctor and this has become a little more complex than I thought it would. Based on everything I reported I do show definite signs of toxicity. Its also recommended that I get an ultrasound on my tests. High levels of Testosterone have been linked to excessive encounters of pesticides and other environmental toxins. Of course there is a whole legal route I have to be aware of so in the mean time I cant really work on fixing my problem until I actually find and relate the problem.
