Ask a Psychopath Anything

I’ve written about this many times over the years over yonder in PWI.
If everyone could just calm the fuck down and behave nicely, wouldn’t my life be a lot easier?

BTW, you get all het up, too. You’re one of the two it takes to tango.

Em, there are three types of people, generally speaking, in this world:

 1. Sheep

 2. Wolves

 3. Sheepdogs

When you see conflict almost anywhere you can bet on it being between #1 and #1, #1 and #2, and of course, #2 and #3.
There are a lot of those yappy dogs, too, who bark at anything and nothing. I think sometimes people who fancy themselves #s 2 or 3 are actually one of those.

So in my opinion there are four types, with the fourth being obstructors. So maybe:

 1. Passive
 2. Aggressive
 3. Protective
 4. Obstructive

Mockery.

The Devil (the archetype for psychopath, whether you consider it to be real or a manifestation of worst fears) cannot stand to be mocked.

They are very insecure people. It’s easy to do.
Indeed it is easy. They just won’t show it, as they are experts at dissimulating

To quote an old abnormal psych professor, "There are 2 kinds of people in the world: those who believe there are 2 kinds and those who don’t.
I always liked, “there are two types of people in this world, those who obsessively make lists and those who don’t.”

From my perspective, this has morphed into just plain old hating on the USA these days.
Yes, although it seems to have gotten better. Or maybe I’ve gotten better at tuning it out.

Lol. So succinct and my thoughts exactly.

Guys not a psychopath. Just likes the idea of being one.

Have you recently seen American Psycho? That may have glamorised it for you lol. I think many will briefly flirt with the fantasy afterwards. Wouldn’t have the gall to start a thread and self-diagnose myself though.

Just fyi, a quick google search of psychopathic traits, and realising you tick a couple of the criteria doesn’t mean you are.

I am deeply offended by this music.

Sure. You have to be persistent until they lose it. And they will.

For a really crude (and simple – we were dealing with idiot versions of psychopaths) example (perhaps more related to Zealots), we used to mock and tease Taliban (on Russian radios they used) about everything from their wives liking our penis better to the LT reading the Qu’Ran in an Elmer Fudd voice. (He was REALLY fluent in Arabic, Pashto, and Dari.)

He would also read “Hadiths” from Cracked Magazine as Iman Mohammed CravenMoreHead about what Mohammed would do if you are in love with your brother’s camel, which really pissed them off – but they would tune into his “show” every night, same bat time, same bat channel.

Eventually, they would charge us head-on, at our strongest point, and we would send them to their 72 virgins.

(Such strategies were eliminated under the kinder, gentler, CIC.)

In the civilian world, psychopaths just generally fume for decades and do nothing.

lol. We can kill them, but we can’t offend them!!

Hi. I’m a psych student and I’m conducting what may turn into a study (if I get a decent sample) regarding differences in emotional reaction between (merely) anti-socials and psychopaths in successful (non-convicted) psychopaths and anti-socials. I’m nearly half-way through the sample size I need. I would appreciate you cooperation. For you to participate, you just need to fill in this form: psychopathy study Missatheist32
It’s short, won’t take long.

Note that I’m looking for people who were diagnosed by a mental health professional and were abused as children/teens, as defined here: Documento sem nome
I know, it’s a broad definition, but it’s used in many countries in Europe and seems consistent with the definitions used in the us - at least in some states, and I wanted to be as inclusive as possible within the limits of what’s reasonable.

If you were ever convicted you can also respond (it may be useful for comparison), but what the study really needs right now is people who weren’t convicted.

Ive seen a lot of glamorization of psychopaths on the internet in recent years, and socially awkward kids liking to think of themselves as psychopaths as a way of rationalizing away the true reasons for not having any real friendships etc.

Its very goofy.

With TV nowadays and what not, people like to think of the psychopath in the fearless action hero/charming but uninhibited steely eyed leader romanticized version. Indeed the suggestion by some psychologists in recent years that psychopaths can be socially productive and pyschopathic traits are exhibited by certain professionals (special forces, police, surgeons, wall street types) has lead to this mastubatory fantasy of being men of action who are charming all the time, capable all the time, have no fear, no anxiety of any kind, and go after what they want with no inhibition.

Of course the fantasy is far from the actual common realization of a clinical psychopath: kiddy fiddlers, sex traffickers, guys who stab people for the slightest provocation, rapists, cartel torturers and scumbags of all sorts.

They want to be dexter, but ted bundy? eww icky. Unfortunately the former is hollywood bullshit while the latter is very real.

Even if we take the so called “sub-clinical” cases like a Jordan Belfort, if someone is looking at him and going “gee i want to be just like him” I would be seriously concerned about this generation and what it says about our values as a culture and society now.

The problem with surveying psychopaths is they’re pathological liars; they lie all the time, often for no other reason than to enjoy tricking people. Add to that the narcissism and anything written or said by a psychopath about themselves is almost sure to be bullshit.

Do you believe that normal (I dislike that word “normal”) people are weak? Are you content that you do not have empathy, guilt, or strong emotions of love? If you could, what emotion would you want to experience the most?
Thanks for your answers in advance.
