Article. No One Is Born in ‘The Wrong Body’

“One of the biggest headlines in the 2020 poll is the emergence of Generation Z adults, those 18 to 23: 1 in 6, or 15.9%, identify as LGBTQ”

Probably not an actual change. Probably just males believing they are trans because they tried to wear their mom’s shoes one time when they were two.

IMO it’s probably just more people coming out now that there’s more acceptance. The percentage of of transsexuals alone in Thailand is around 5%. Buddhism don’t really give a fuck about this stuff but large segments of society give them a lot of shit because THIS IS ASIA. But you can’t stop them. Lots resort to prostitution to afford the costs of plastic surgery and sexual reassignment operations. It’s not fun even if you think it’s a mental problem.

Where I live, around 1/4 of male the graphic designers I’ve engaged over the years are flamboyantly gay. One of them remains a personal friend of mine even after our professional relationship ended. He once travelled to Thailand in the mid-2000s to become a monk for 1 month to rid himself of the “gayness”(or was it “sexual urges” or “sexuality” in general I can’t remember) but it didn’t work. One of the warrant officers in my army division was a closet bisexual in his 40s while a staff sergeant(? not sure can’t remember his rank) was openly gay. One of my uncles had a sex change and moved to the UK. Entire family disowned him. I know one pious Jew who’s gay but I’ve only had the chance to meet 3 Jews in my life.

FTR I’m not gay and tbh I’m still slightly uncomfortable seeing men displaying intimacy with each other despite all this and there’s no way I would make out with someone who once had a dick even if she looked like Denise Richards. #canceldt79

Now wait until generation z are the parents and elders. Children raised under even more permissive, experimenting (even celebratory) adults. Wonder just how low the west can get it’s fertility rate.

I would say the fact that gay people aren’t scared to identify as gay anymore doesn’t have a massive impact on this. I believe the biggest problem here is economics. My parents had 5 kids (tried to have three but fertility pills made the try for 3 turn into twins and an unexpected pregnancy at 40.)

How many people have 5 kids now? How many can really afford to do so? We have little protections for working women who get pregnant compared to other countries. You can throw away a career by getting pregnant in our profits all that matters mindset. The price of childcare is through the roof. We don’t have universal healthcare. We attack poor people as lazy, leeches, etc and tell them to pull themselves up by the bootstraps. That poor person has a few kids it’s probably some crap about how she should have kept her legs closed so she didn’t need to be on food stamps or something.

Do you have a few nations in mind with universal healthcare and liberal state enforced maternity laws?

If the government was concerned enough about fertility rates they would incentify people having children. I would guess by current policy that the government is aiming to reduce the population. That is assuming a functional government lol. I think if it were to get bad enough, then even the US government would do so.

We could also increase immigration if we want more people paying into the system. We may have to do something like this to support the boomers in retirement.

Also to the topic of the thread, I believe I was born in the wrong body. I should have been born with the upper body of Arnold in his prime, and the lower body of Tom Platz in his prime. I am going to need serious HRT to get even close to the body I was meant to be born into.

So, taking a quick look at nations often being viewed as maternity/paternity ultra friendly… Every one I’ve checked on has a fertility rate as bad, and often worse, than our own.

Heh. Boy we are a stubborn people.

They would probably be worse if not for those policies. I think those countries are trying to increase fertility rates because they were / are abysmal.

I think there is definitely some truth in the economic question. People as freed up mobile economic actors.

They do. They also discourage marriage. Check with the IRS.

I mean, recent record lows in Norway, Iceland, and Finland.

I guess we’ll all just grow old, try to replace ourselves through immigration with cultures that favor larger child bearing families.

Or, maybe we might one day actually question a culture that doesn’t seem to be able to even bribe its members into having children.

But enough about that.

I know. I think that is something that could be fixed. What do you think about part of the new stimulus in which families get $300 per child per month? It is a disguised form of redistribution, but it might get people to have more kids. I don’t really know if more, less or about the same amount of kids is needed? I have a feeling that the Boomers are going to be a big liability on the working class when they retire (they are a disproportionate percent of the population, and they haven’t done well in saving either).

It’s also a potentially double edged sword. Do we want more kids just to say we have/had more kids or do we want kids in the best spots for them to be healthy and succeed? We spend a lot of money and educational resources trying to prevent teenage pregnancy (which I think wise) but that’s also coming at a decline in fertility rate.

The data shows that children born by women when they are older are setup for success much better.

Who is ourselves? Are you worried about the world running out of people? I don’t think that’s much of a fear at this point.

I see it as potentially good policy. I don’t have kids and I can support the idea. I feel right now the dollar amount is about right as well (I don’t think it is enough to make women want to go out and have a bunch of kids just for the money).

My apologies I was responding to a different quote of yours and it didn’t paste not commenting on the stimulus part.

Nobody should tell you otherwise! HRT should be a snap, it’s healthcare after all. :joy:

I wonder if I could use the transition loophole for the same purposes… But I’m already a guy.

But you identify as a beast, and want a body to match!
