Aromatize Inhibitors

Hi, I was wondering what your thoughts are on Aromasin vs Femara. I was reading that Aromasin permanently blocks estrogen where as Femara is reversible. Is it advisable to permanently block estrogen and if it truly does permanently block estrogen does that mean that if I use it once for PCT my estrogen concerns are gone for all future cycles? I find this hard to believe.

If anyone can clarify this for me I’d appreciate it.

ok, i havent heard of Aromasin or Femara but that doesnt mean that thye dont work. one of the best aromatase inhibitors is Arimidex or Novladex. it was made for cancer patients who have cancers that rely on estrogen.

with that in mind you need some estrogen because it controls your bone density. thus if you eliminate it all you could see osteoprosis in while. if you dont have strong bones you sure as hell cant lift big weight. i work in a pharmacy that does hormone replacement therapy so i am learning a lot.

this is all you need.

Nolva is a SERM, not an AI. I have used all 3 AI’s mentioned and they all work…Aromasin is new and more expensive, I like Adex the best because it controls estrogen levels, where Femara and Aromasin nuke them, all though Aromasin is suppose to be better for cholesterol.

no worries. the the aromatase is an enzyme and is being produced by the body constantly. i wouldn’t worry about such “suicide inhibitors”. after all femara is a very potent AI and will result in drastically lowered estrogen levels at higher doses.

femara being reversible only means that it can bind to aromatase, release and rebind if it is not eliminated by the body. aromasin simply binds and doesn’t let go as you have pointed out. this complex is eliminated from the body over time.

the suppression of estrogen depends on the relative binding strength of the AI compared to testosterone (or androstenedione) and for femara also on the rate of elimination from the body.

hope that helps

What about the “estrogen rebound” factor? It’s been said that SI’s will induce “bitch tits”…If so, how can this be avoided?..

Thanks guys, I appreciate the help.

3 things i can think of:

  1. Not using too much.

  2. Not coming off early - figure out how long that ester will be releasing significant amounts, you need to be taking during this period and then taper down.

  3. Not using too little.
