Can’t speak regarding the Holy Grail, but the Romans sure made the Arch of Titus, celebrating the Roman sack of the Temple, and seemed to think they were carrying imporant shit off.
I was in Rome and jokingly asked a priest-looking-guy if he minded if I poked around the Vatican basement for a bit for the Ark. He just kinda went pale.

That was my problem with this movie was the ending.
I know there is field military medical, however they are not doing a fucking heart transplant out in the fucking open. And the whole jacket thing irked the shit out of me also.
What jacket thing ?
Where the jacket is passed to the teen kid version of Reese from Worthington.
Seemed out of place sentimental shit for this type of movie.
I thought so as well until I found this deleted scene:
^ They should have gone with the original ending, killed Connor, had Bale play Marcus pretending to be Connor and included that scene. More than enough potential for a new trilogy there.

I absolutely love the first one and really like the second one. I don’t want the saga ruined for me. It’s like with Aliens, for me it’s a trilogy.

Aliens as a trilogy? the 3rd was AWFUL!!! if they had done the original 3rd and had the aliens make it to earth i might have agreed, but the 3rd one that got made was horrible…
I already wrote, in this same thread, why I think Alien 3 is good.
Alien prequel…hmm…colour me skeptic. Like with every single remake that is being done, starting with Die Hard 4.0, Indiana Jones IV, etc.
I mean, Indiana Jones…you had the plot of the video game (Fate of Atlantis) which is amazing and you have to go with something totally unbelievable as aliens? Come on! Give us Holy Grail and the Ark!

That was part of the joke…
I’m an atheist you know.

I haven’t seen Salvation since it first came out, but if I remember correctly Marcus Wright got that jacket off a dead soldier (after he woke up, which doesn’t immediately add up). The photo of Sarah Connor in the jacket pocket implies that the dead soldier was Kyle Reese, who apparently survived beyond his encounter with the T-800 in the past.
McG did say that this was intended as a fresh trilogy. It does get confusing as hell if you try to bring quantum theory into this (which explains any paradoxes).
I don’t know if it’s been said already but any chance he’ll be playing the human Skynet modelled T-101 on? Albeit the older version of the character who somehow escaped SN or something like that?

Going back to the idea of an Aliens prequel - I’m actually really looking forward to it. Would LOVE to know more about the ‘pilot’ and ship they found in Alien. Not going to be easy to do without including humans, but with Ridley at the helm I’m just a little bit excited. ![]()
^Me too. I will watch all things Aliens even if they suck at this point just hoping someone can come close to the first and second.

There’s quite a large human crew in it - just as big if not bigger than the crew of the Nostromo:

Whoa, ok: Fassbender, Kate Dickie (a fellow Scot ;p), Elba and Pearce. I suddenly don’t mind the inclusion of humans. ![]()
I want to know more about the plot tbh…looks like it’s being kept close to the chest so far.

Same.
The first was one of the few really eye-clinching films of my childhood. I’d somehow managed to get a copy of the Heavy Metal ‘Alien’ issue (pretty much a panel to panel likeness to the film) before I’d actually even seen it and it still managed to scare the shit out of me.

Wow…was just curious as to how I saw the mag before the film (turns out they both came out in the same year) and found the cover to it ^^
nostalgia ftw!

Yea I sort of understood that but I can’t wrap my head around the whole triangle thing.
Remake AVP in a trilogy and get some good actors with a good storyline and add in some wicked special effects.

What, you mean the triangle of the original movie? The first movie is a causal loop, meaning the story has no beginning or end. It all revolves around the photo of Sarah Connor, and it’s a paradox. I’ve written pages on this, not here, but on a different site.
Her photo remains unchanged, so events had to play out exactly as they did to put her at the gas station in that exact place and time to have her photo taken by the kid who just happened to be there. Any other turn of events would have resulted in a different photo in a different place.
Connor gives Reese that exact photo taken in that exact place. Sarah Connor would not be there if she hadn’t been attacked by the Terminator. There is no solution. It’s more philosophical than scientific.
T2 onwards breaks the triangle, because it’s based on quantum theory of time travel, which states that travelling back in time isn’t possible, but it is possible to move laterally and create a new, alternate reality. The paradox is broken but it means that every time Reese goes back a new outcome is created.
He could go back, wake up Marcus, and survive because Marcus helped him in the past.
Confused yet?
^…Actually no that made perfect sense…So there can officially be hundreds of terminator movies with different endings…great ![]()
