what other types of bi excercises is there?
There have been eleventy hundred articles and threads about arm training and “best exercises per bodypart.”
You don’t need to do eight exercises for chest to stimulate growth. Almost no one does. Especially when six of them are different kinds of pressing and especially when you’re doing them all for 6-8 reps. To put it into a little perspective, you’re only really doing four exercises for your legs, which are quite a bit larger and more powerful than the chest.

Well, it’s sorta worked, but not as well as you hoped, otherwise you wouldn’t be making a thread asking what other exercises you could do for arm width.
This. “Worked” is context-specific. It’s not uncommon for guys to start moving bigger weights but then turn around and wonder why their muscle growth isn’t satisfactory. It could be argued that you’re more likely to lose muscle tension as weights get heavier and other support muscles are pulled in to assist, and form generally starts to get looser.

I think you’re lifting too heavy to get maximal stimulus of your biceps. If you really focus on the MMC doing curls with 20s, you will likely get a much better workout than curling the 65s. My biceps were shit until I dropped the ego and the weight and actually focused on working the muscle.

Glad I can provide some comic relief, at least.
Story behind it in my log/intro thread: my college football coach saw me a few months after my senior season (I lost about 40 pounds from November 2007, the end of my senior season, to March 2008 - spring break baby! lol) and said I looked like an “activities guy” now. My father found this hilarious and the name has kinda stuck. It works, too, given my diverse fitness interests.
I thought of ‘step brothers’
So much room for actvities!

This.
The Mighty Stu has mentioned a similar phenomenon; it wasn’t until he stopped worrying about how much weight he was lifting, and started thinking of the weights as a tool to work the muscle, that he was able to maximize the stimulus, or something to that effect. I am not nearly so far along in the “physique development” line as Stu, of course, but I have noticed the same, Ripsaw: on lifts working smaller muscles like biceps and triceps (as opposed to big compounds like bench press or OHP), I have been amazed at the workout I’ve gotten with much lighter weights (20’s-30’s) than when I used to take 40’s and 50’s and just hoist them up any old way (even if I thought I had “good form”).

I get what you’re saying and I agree… to an extent. I’ve found that doing a combination of heavy/light seems to get really good results. Like doing the first exercise heavier and pushing the last few reps with some cheating. I don’t necessarily think of cheating as ego lifting, but more as a tool in itself. Then following up with lighter exercises and stricter form with the goal of getting a pump.
Biceps wise, shoulder width/wider than shoulder width will hit the short head of the biceps better which is what is responsible for width as opposed to long head being more responsible for peak.
